The Re-evolution Trend And Expressive Function Of Contemporary Chinese Degree Complements And Related Components

This paper is mainly focuses on the re-evolution trend of degree complement and its related components in modern and contemporary Chinese,combining with previous research foundation,and taking grammaticalization theory,pragmatics,cognitive linguistics and functional linguistics as the guiding theories,from the perspectives of diachronic and synchronic,from the macro and micro dimensions,from the two means of description and interpretation and the combination of theory and linguistic facts,analyzes the re-evolution trend of degree complement and its related components in modern and contemporary Chinese,and analyzes the function and nature of its expression in combination with specific cases.This paper mainly includes the following parts.1.It elaborates on the purpose and significance of the topic and current research situation: and the explain of the research methods and the sources of corpus.2.Take“X dehen”for example,analysis of the characteristics of syntax,semantics and pragmatics.On the basis of previous studies,according to the synchronic and diachronic performance of “de” and “hen”,analyze the trend of admixture.And through the comparison of “X dehen" and "X dehuang",make a more detailed analysis.3.Taking a typical low-degree complement "X ledian" as an example,analyzes the diachronic evolution of its semantic meaning.Specifically,the characteristics and motivations of "X ledian" from objective quantification to subjective quantification in semantics.According to its phonetic features,this paper analyzes the trend of affixing of “le” and “dian”.Finally,two similar expressions "X canle" and "X sile" were compared to observe the re-evolution trend of related components.4.Taking "X canle" as an example,combined with specific corpus,analyzed the lexical across layers of "can" and "le".With the emergence of the pragmatic function of "X canle",the semantics gradually become meaningless.5.Pragmatic will promote the process of grammaticalization.Taking "X daosi " as an example from the emerging extreme degree complement,this paper discusses the subjectivism and modality of "X daosi" by analyzing the corpus and the exaggeration and pragmatic function of "X daosi".From the perspective of semantic emptiness,analyzes the tendency of adverbialization of "daosi".And combining the comparison between the collocation choice and semantic evolution of "X daosi" and "X daobao",points out the causes and limitations of the adverbial transformation of "daosi".6.Combined with the first four chapters of the specific case analysis,there are three main trends in the re-evolution of related components of the expression of the degree of inductive complement: affixation,lexicalization and adverbialization.The characteristics of grammaticalization in degree complements are observed from three dimensions: structural solidification,phonetic characteristics and pragmatic functions.Finally,the causes of the re-evolution of degree complement and related components are summarized from the perspective of pragmatics and semantics.At the macro level,from the structure of iconicity,this paper points out that the structure of parallel transmission to the promoting function of degree complement grammaticalization process.7.It summarizes the new breakthroughs and shortcomings,and puts forward the problems to be solved.
