Looking At Menshikov's Translation Of Chinese Classical Poetry From Two Quantitative Indexes

The famous Russian sinologist Lev Nikolayevich Menshikov(1926-2005),his Chinese name is Meng Lefu,mainly studies dunhuang studies and translates Chinese classical poetry.For more than 40 years of work in the St.Petersburg branch of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Academy of Sciences,he translated a large number of Chinese novels,poems,and fuses.He was the first Sinologist to translate Wang Fan-chi's verses into Dunhuang documents.The first full Russian translation of the novel “A Dream in a Red Tower”,made by V.A.Panasyuk and Menshikov.The article summarizes the causes and experience of Menshikov's translation of Chinese classical poetry,summarizes the works and the specific content of the poetry of translation,and gives an overview of his three visits to China.Since he has a comprehensive and deep understanding of Chinese culture,his translations completely restore the rhyme,structure,rhythm,and image of ancient Chinese poems.This article analyzes the principles and methods of translation that Menshiko followed by comparing translations with other translations and Mnshikov's homogeneous translations,as well as comparing various interpretations of quatrains,eight-letter hypotheses “Chinese poetry in translations of Lev Menshikov” was published in 2007.This collection of translated poems contains many translations,which Menshikov completed for many years when translating Chinese classical poetry into Russian.As the object of study,the article considers “Chinese poetry in the translations of Lev Menshikov”,and from the point of view of Gasparov's translation theory(accuracy and freedom coefficient),this article examines how Menshikov used the methods and principles of translation to make his translation a reference material for research.
