The Approach To The Generation Of Art Concepts In The Early 20th Century

In the early 20 th century,new words of art in newspapers and magazines in our country began to appear in large numbers,and various new concepts of art came along with each other.In this process,many words in the new vocabulary of art do not reach their meanings.New “words” and new “things” do not correspond accurately.New concepts and new concepts are in chaotic generation.For more than ten years,"new words" and "new things" have been constantly exchanged information,and reached the construction and revision of meanings with each other.According to incomplete statistics,a total of 68 new vocabularies closely related to art appeared in Oriental Magazine from 1911 to 1921,of which 38 appeared in 1921,such as "tactile painting","outer light painting","portrait painting",etc.With the popularization of basic vocabulary,the discussion of art and social reality has continued to follow up.The article "Oriental Magazine" soon began to appear "artistic civilian","artistic view of life","artistic life" "Art Independence Theory","Art Life Theory" and other series of phrases,these phrases are bred in different countries and regions,carrying very different artistic views.For example,"artistic life" comes from the planning requirements of the Russian Soviet Ministry of Culture and Art,and "artistic populism" evolved from the concept of freedom and equality in modern French literature and art.These new concepts of literature and art are constantly evolving in China,and two types of value tendencies are gradually differentiated: one is to emphasize the independence of art,and the other is to respect the sociality of art.Knowing the development of modern art in the Western countries,the domestic intellectuals realized that traditional Chinese art has stalled,people hope to improve the decline of traditions by studying modern Western art and promote the transformation of Chinese art concepts.The "Eastern Culture School" emphasizes the selective learning of the West based on tradition,which seems to be a return to the "Chinese style and Western style" approach of modern Neo-Confucianism.
