"Pragmatic Reason" is a philosophical concept proposed by Li Zehou to summarize the unique spirit of traditional Chinese culture and the cultural psychological structure of the Chinese nation. This concept has the characteristics of focusing on reality, being sober and rational, calm and optimistic, emphasizing action, and emphasizing personnel and ignoring ghosts and spirits. These characteristics are also the intrinsic value trends of Confucius 'thoughts, and they are the way of thinking deep in Confucius' thoughts. The formation of this mode of thinking is closely related to China's unique geographical and cultural environment. It was nurtured in the agricultural society, formed in the tradition of witch history, perfected in the Zhou Gong system rites and Confucius' interpretation of "rites" to "benevolence",and was achieved in Confucian thought.Focus on it.Confucius advocated "for benevolence by himself" in benevolent thought;advocated "performing dual-use" in the doctrine of the mean;advocated "observing the right to exercise the classics" in the thought of economic power;advocated "saving the heaven and the far ghost" in the thought of the destiny ghost;Advocating "seeing benefits and thinking" in Yili thoughts, which all deeply contain a rational spirit of looking at all things, and a practical attitude that focuses on practical practice, profoundly presenting a "Pragmatic Reason" way of thinking. And this way of thinking was widely spread in the practice of Confucius' thoughts,so that Confucianism can show a profound subjective characteristic, which focuses on anti-self-seeking,emphasizing practice, and has been developed and practiced by Confucian scholars in later generations. This makes Confucianism and even the entire Chinese culture embark on a path of "transcendence in this world" that is different from the Western "become a sage in the ordinary"-"extremely clever and moderate".
