Reading plays a very important role in English learning.How to improve students' English reading level has become a problem for scholars and teachers.As an effective mode of teaching and research,“heterogeneous forms for the same subject” is loved by many teachers.“Heterogeneous forms for the same subject” conceives different ideas of the same teaching content,innovates teaching methods,improves teachers' teaching ideas,and stimulates teachers' sense of inquiry.At present,most of the researches focus on the improvement of teachers' teaching behavior,most of them focus on teachers,and lack of attention to students' learning effect.In this study,the qualitative and quantitative research methods are used,and the “heterogeneous” model is applied to the English reading teaching,combining with the teaching practice.In this paper,the experimental method,questionnaire survey,comparative analysis and interview method are used to analyze the results of the experiment to understand the effect of heterogeneous reading teaching in the same class to try to answer the following three questions:(1)Can the teaching mode of “same class and different structure” improve senior high school students' English reading performance?(2)Can the teaching mode of “same class and different structure” improve the students' interest in reading English?(3)What are the effects of “heterogeneous forms for the same subject” case studies in the teaching of reading? What factors affect the effectiveness of the implementation of “heterogeneous” teaching mode?In this paper,98 students from two parallel classes in a high school are selected as the research objects,and the students were tested by reading and questionnaires,and the teaching cases of other teachers are compared,analyzed and interviewed.Finally,the experimental data are obtained,and the experimental data are analyzed by SPSS23.0 software.Through the research,the author comes to the following conclusions:(1)The teaching mode of “the same class and the different structure” has a significant effect on improving students' English reading performance.There was no significant difference between the two classes before the experiment.After the experiment,the reading performance of the experimental class was significantly higher than that of the control class,and the post-test performance of the experimental class was significantly higher than that of the pre-test.To a certain extent,it proves that teachers can improve students' English reading level by adopting the “heterogeneous” model.(2)The application of “heterogeneous” model in English reading is of great help to improve students' interest in reading.Before the experiment,the students' interest in English reading is low.After the experiment,the proportion of students who are interested in English reading has increased greatly.Many students begin to have interest in reading,which shows that the implementation of “heterogeneous forms for the same subject” stimulates the students' interest in reading,improves their confidence and enthusiasm in reading.(3)The influence of the case study of “same class and different structure” to the teaching of reading lies in the design of teaching objectives and important and difficult points,the application of teaching methods,the quality of classroom interaction and the positive reflection.Through the interview with teachers,this paper sums up the factors that influence the effective implementation of “same class and different structure”: teachers' participation attitude,students' learning situation,the design of “same class and different structure”.
