On The Paradox And Balance Of Bei Dao's Poetry

Paradox is not only the most important rhetoric way to form the calling structure of Bei Dao poetry,but also the main factor to cause its ambiguous and polysemous meaning.Bei Dao is keen to juxtapose two groups of poetry images or themes of poetry expression,which are opposite in nature and value,in the same period of creation,so as to create a paradox whirlpool in the process of contrast and collision,and form a paradox scenario of struggling to maintain a "dangerous equilibrium" between the two poles.He integrates the paradox experience in real life into his poetry creation,making paradox present in the poetry text as a reflection and poetic variant of realistic contradiction and inner conflict.The interaction of poets and texts,fate and poetry,let the actual situation of Bei Dao exude the characteristics of poetry,and its poetry has a practical significance beyond the text.The process of "paradox whirlpool" generation and dissolution in poetry is also the process of Bei Dao's unremitting struggle with reality and self-struggle to achieve the equilibrium of poetics and psychology.Based on the paradox in Bei Dao's poetry,this paper aims to find out the paradox situation faced by Bei Dao in different historical periods,and to explore how he maintained his equilibrium when he repeatedly fell into the "paradox whirlpool".The main body of this paper consists of five parts.The introduction part includes the retrospect and combing of the academic background and development of the topic,the introduction of relevant materials and research methods,the definition of the concepts of "paradox" and "equilibrium",and so on.The purpose of this paper is to point out its creative purpose and significance.Bei Dao has emphasized that people should not only understand the world from a vertical perspective,but also explore the world from a horizontal perspective.Therefore,this paper adopts a cross-cutting,diachronic and synchronic research approach,dividing Bei Dao's poetry creation into three periods and making a synchronic study of poetry in each period.In the early stage of Bei Dao's poetry creation,the paradox mainly arises from his tense competition with the times;in the middle stage of his creation,the paradox arises from his split with himself;in the late stage of his creation,the paradox arises from his closeand distant relationship with his mother tongue.The concluding part discusses Bei Dao's unremitting pursuit of a equilibriumd writing state.
