The Influence Of User Reviews And Neurotic Personality Traits On Music Emotions

From a subjective perspective,Musical emotions refer to the emotional experience that people produce while listening to music,NetEase cloud music user comments have the function of expressing and releasing emotions,making "listening to music and watching comments" become a popular way of listening to music.Musical emotions are also influenced by personality traits.Research shows that neuroticism is a personality trait of typical emotional style,and has a close relationship with personal physical and mental health.Therefore,taking the general users and different neurotic level users as the subjects,the paper explored the influence of user comments on the musical emotions of the subjects.Research one:In order to explore the impact of user comments on the emotional experience of the general users while listening to music,the within experiment-2(music valence:positive,negative)x 2(comments:yes,no)was adopted.The dependent variable was the emotional experience(pleasure and arousal).The results showed:For the pleasure of the subjects,the main effect of music valence and comments was obvious,the interaction affect between music valence and comments was obvious.The pleasure induced by positive music was significantly higher than that by negative music.In negative music,the pleasure induced by the music with comments was significantly lower than that by the music without comments.For the arousal of the subjects,the main effect of music valence and comments was obvious,The arousal induced by positive music was significantly higher than that by negative music.The arousal induced by the music with comments was significantly higher than that by the music without comments.Research two:In order to explore the similarities and differences of musical emotions at different neurotic levels,and the impact of user comments,the mixed experiment-2(neurotic type:high neuroticism,low neuroticism)x2(music valence:positive,negative)×2(comments:yes,no)was adopted.Neurotic type was the between variable,music valence and comments were the within variable,the dependent variable was the emotional experience(pleasure and arousal).The results showed:For the pleasure of the subjects,the main effect of neurotic type,music valence and comments was obvious,the interaction affect between music valence and comments was obvious.The pleasure induced by positive music was significantly higher than that by negative music.In positive music,the pleasure induced by the music with comments was significantly higher than that by the music without comments.In negative music,the pleasure induced by the music with comments was significantly lower than that by the music without comments.For the arousal of the subjects,the main effect of neurotic type,music valence and comments was obvious.The interaction affect between neurotic type and music valence was obvious.The interaction affect between neurotic type and comments was obvious.The interaction affect among neurotic type,music valence and comments was obvious.For all subjects,the arousal induced by the music with comments was significantly higher than that by the music without comments.For high neurotic subjects,the arousal induced by positive music was significantly lower than that by negative music.For low neurotic subjects,the arousal induced by positive music was significantly higher than that by negative music.Conclusions:(1)Positive music may induce higher pleasure and arousal for the general users.(2)User comments may affect the emotional experience of the general users.User comments may reduce the pleasure of general users when listening to negative music.(3)User comments may enhance the arousal of the general users.General users may have the highest arousal when listening to positive music with comments.(4)High and low neurotic users may have different emotional experience when listening to music.High neurotic users may have higher arousal when listening to negative music,while low neurotic users may have higher arousal when listening to positive music.(5)User comments may have a strong influence on the musical emotions of high and low neurotic users when listening to music.In positive music,user comments may enhance the pleasure of high and low neurotic users.In negative music,user comments may reduce the pleasure of high and low neurotic users.(6)User comments may have a strong influence on the arousal of high and low neurotic users.Low neurotic users may have the strongest emotional experience when listening to positive music with comments.High neurotic users may have the strongest emotional experience when listening to negative music with comments.
