Fei Xiaotong's Research On Rural Ethics

Fei Xiaotong was bom in 1910.He was the witness and witness of many important events in the 20th century.He is a century scholar with rich life experience and profound academic attainments.In Fei Xiaotong’s opinion,The most essential problem of Chinese society lies in the rural society of China.This article abstracts Fei Xiaotong’s rural ethics thought from his academic thought about Chinese rural society.On the Content and Theoretical Characteristics of Rural Ethics Thought.And through the interpretation and induction of its thoughts,enrich the theoretical research of rural ethics in China,and provide theoretical support for the implementation of the strategy of rural revitalization.Besides the introduction and conclusion,The main body of the thesis consists of three parts.The main body of the thesis consists of three parts.This paper introduces Fei Xiaotong’s life and his three academic lives,outlines Fei Xiaotong’s academic thought,probes into the historical background of the formation of Fei Xiaotong,s rural ethical thought,and analyses the theoretical origin of Fei Xiaotong’s rural ethical thought.The second part is the main content of Fei Xiaotong’s rural ethics.Fei Xiaotong inspected the social order of the traditional Chinese countryside and analyzed the local social structure of the early "differential order pattemn".It mainly includes the core values of "aspiring to enrich the people",the production and consumption ethics of diligence and thrift,the communication and distribution ethics of trust and mutual assistance,and the development ethics of rural reconstruction.In his later years,Fei Xiaotong kept reflecting and making up lessons,forming a process of ideological transformation from Haspiring to enrich the people" to "cultural consciousness".It mainly includes two aspects:the "difference order pattern" of "promoting oneself and others" and the concept and mentality of "only understanding,not words".The third part is the characteristics and evaluation of Fei Xiaotong’s rural ethics.Fei Xiaotong’s life has always been running for the interests of farmers.The most striking feature is his idea of "enriching the people",which is the core of Fei Xiaotong’s academic values.Secondly,the ethical culture based on local characteristics.In the book "Rural China",the author creatively puts forward the concepts of "difference order pattern" and "ritual order" which have universal significance in describing the characteristics of rural society.The evaluation of Fei Xiaotong’s rural ethics is mainly reflected in two aspects:his theoretical value and practical significance.The theoretical value mainly includes the research methods and methodological value of providing classical theoretical resources and combining theory with practice for the study of rural ethics in China.The practical significance includes the following aspects:taking the survival and development of peasants as the basic problem,the integration of rule of propriety and rule of law in rural governance,and the historical shift from "cultural consciousness" to "cultural self-confidence".
