Language is constantly evolving.As a kind of speech change,the phenomenon of elision is an important manifestation of the development of language.This thesis studies the phenomenon of elision in Mongolian written language in order to discover the development law of language.This thesis consists of five parts,introduction,main content of the three chapters and conclusion.In the introduction part,meaning,research status and basic methods used in whole thesis are introduced.Concept and explanation of phonetic elision and the situation of phonetic elision reflected in Mongolian main literature are also included in this part.The main literature includes 10 important materials such as"Golden History",etc.In main content,the first chapter analyzes the phenomenon of initial elision in both diachronic and synchronic ways.Vowel elision,consonant elision and elision of whole syllable are all discussed in both ways.The second chapter and third chapter analyze the elision happened in middle of the words and suffixes separately.The method used in the last two chapters is the same as that used in the first chapter.In the conclusion part,the elision happened in Mongolian is summarized by phonemes and nine reasons that may lead to the phonetic elision in Mongolian is discussed.Focus on the specific sound of a phoneme or syllable at the position of the word,when happen the elision,what component and what part of the phonetic elision and what causes the elision.The second section is an analysis of the causes of the elision.Based on the full text,the reasons for the eight types of noise reduction are proposed.Such as:the language's own development leads the elision;the principles of language economy lead the elision;the impact of the adjacent sound leads the elision;the change of number and sex categories leads the elision;distinguishing the word form leads the elision;connecting sounds lead the elision;methods of recording long speech lead the elision;the disappearance of speech from the system leads the elision;the replacement of the root leads the elision.
