Research On Lu Ji's Panoramic Flower And Bird Painting

As an outstanding talented painter who worked for the Ming Dynasty Royal family,Lv Ji is really good at painting figures,landscapes,flowers and birds.The most prominent achievement among all his works are flowers and birds paintings.Lv Ji ’ s works can be divided into two main categories,one is inherited from Huang Sheng’ s meticulous painting,which shows the precise and beauties.The other style is ink freehand brushworks,which shows the bold and unconstrained.He had created a new style of the flowers and birds paintings in Ming Dynasty by combining the meticulous and freehand painting,his works had a profound influence on the Ming Dynasty,and even for the later generations as well.In the paper,Lv Ji ’ s panoramic flowers and birds painting has been taken as the research object,mainly using image analysis and comparison method as the starting point of the research.First of all,the records of the life stories of Lv Ji in the existing literature are combined with the historical materials of the Ming Dynasty to summarize the influence of the background of Lv Ji ’ s background on his art.it analyzes the origin of the panoramic flower and bird painting style from Lv Ji’ s inheritance of the sectarian flower-birds and their mentoring relationship.Then analyze the artistic characteristics of Lv Ji’ s flowers and birds painting from five aspects:Implied meaning,composition trend,color relationship,pen and ink application and atmosphere creation.Finally,Through the influence of Lv Ji on his panoramic flower and bird paintings in China and overseas,to discuss the influence and inspiration of the panoramic flower and bird painting arts.
