| Painters after post-modernism,especially Daniel Richter and others in the New Leipzig School of Painting,are no longer the original painters.They did not only change the themes of paintings,but also set a new of visual patterns.Taking Daniel Richter’s paintings as examples,this paper uses Michel Foucault’s and Jonathan Crary’s methods of visual archaeology for reference,puts the research under the background of contemporary visual culture,and analyses the causes and characteristics of the formation of new visual patterns.This research is divided into four parts:The first chapter mainly studies the influence of various visual images on contemporary paintings under the background of visual culture.The new visual pattern is not the problem of visual reproduction of paintings,not only because of changes in aesthetic rules,but also involves the transfer of a wider range of knowledge structure.Daniel Richter establishes a direct perspective between the creation of strange images and the historical landscape in his works.Popular culture is used to interpret the world and forms a close structural connection among political events,social problems and paintings.In chapter 2,point is proposed that the establishment of a new visual model requires new visual processing principles and new technologies.In order to construct a new visual pattern,Daniel Richter first reconstructs his painting space,pursues the diversity of visual space,and uses painting dyestuff to arouse the illusion of time and space.The combination of traditional painting methods and new art has been experimented continuously and has liberated the use of media.Chapter 3 focuses on the formation of a new visual hierarchy between image media and image theory in the new visual pattern.Daniel Richter reconfigured news pictures from contemporary media images,enabling the image media to fully explain the meaning of the image itself,and striving to move from narrative to image itself.It also created the visual form of the virtual image under the new technology.Chapter 4 emphasizes the study of Daniel Richter’s pursue of the diversity in visual space,crazy vision and creating new alienated images under the new visual pattern.The new image acquires its own life,posture is reconfigured,and language itself is proposed to become a pure sense of vision.Posture no longer directly corresponds to our real life.In brief,Daniel Richter’s realistic painting realizes the alienation of the image through the establishment of a new visual model,and constructs a new world in the picture.Painting is no longer a reproduction of the known world,but a way to explain the world in its own way. |
