| Library is an important part of an institution whose function is to provide effective guarantee for teaching.Today,with the emphasis on research and autonomous learning,this function is more prominent.The collection of a library can almost become one of the signs to measure the academic status of an institution.All institutions measure the richness and character of their library collections because that is where scholars produce their research.Therefore,library is the foundation of college teaching and scientific research,and the place to provide scientific research resources for readers.In this paper,nine primary and secondary schools,Chuzhou college and Chuzhou city vocational college libraries in Chuzhou city,Anhui province were selected as the research objects.Taking the investigation of music books and audio-visual resources as an example,the utilization and function of collection resources were investigated through the methods of storage,renewal frequency,borrowing frequency and student questionnaire.On this basis,the status quo and existing problems are described and analyzed.In today’s increasingly affluent society,colleges and universities are investing more than they have in the past,increasing their stock of books by more than a factor of ten.Contrary to this encouraging phenomenon,however,student borrowing of all kinds of materials has been declining year by year.Although this is partly due to the Internet diversion in the multimedia era,the spectacular scene of the crazy reading era in the 1980 s is no longer in the past.These phenomena can be found in the library loan rate.In other words,libraries not only show the development trend of college students’ reading scope and interest,but also reflect the change of social atmosphere and social environment.Through this window,we can appreciate the potential trend of education development.Through the investigation,this paper draws the following conclusions: the scope of borrowing in the libraries of professional colleges and universities is obviously more than that of ordinary colleges and universities;The borrowing scope of ordinary institutions of higher learning is obviously larger than that of primary and secondary schools.However,as another indicator of observation“borrowing rate”,the borrowing rate of professional university libraries is not different from that of ordinary universities.The borrowing rate of ordinary institutions of higher learning is obviously higher than that of primary and secondary schools.According to the statistics,the borrowing rate of primary and secondary school libraries is very small,which is almost zero and negligible.To the university,borrowing rate by leaps and bounds.This phenomenon shows that the utilization rate of libraries in primary and secondary schools is very low,and the institutions are virtually non-existent.Entering the university stage,the students enter the library to become self-conscious,and the library becomes one of the activity centers.Social investigation and corresponding cognition are helpful to clarify the interactive relationship between music class and music education,teaching and research,so as to improve the effect of library in the process of education implementation.On the basis of the above observations,this paper attempts to put forward some constructive Suggestions on various problems existing in libraries at present as the conclusion of a social survey. |
