Research On The Unity Of Book Design Form And Content

China's book design has a long history,and the infinite charm of traditional books has attracted worldwide attention.The form of books,the finishing process,and the application of materials have evolved over time.With the new ideas of new materials,new technologies and book design,modern book art has shown a trend of diversification,and the overall appearance of book design has also changed a lot.A group of attractive book binding design works stand out,and some excellent designers with humanistic design concepts are well known.In recent years,the theoretical research results on book design have also increased year by year.Scholars have a heated discussion on book design.In particular,there is more attention to the design and content of books,and the interpretation of opinions is also a matter of opinion.During the study,the author systematically combed some relevant theoretical research results of book design,analyzed some excellent design cases,and based on the experience of excellent book design,tried three books design,and gained a lot in practice.experiences and lessons.Based on his own experience and analysis of other people's cases,this paper explores the importance of the harmony between form and content in book design.The article mainly elaborates from the following three aspects:The first part starts with the concept of Research background and significance,grasps the development of Chinese and foreign books,combs the evolution of the predecesso's book design,analyzes the development status of modern books,finds out the problems of book design,and verifies Book design forms are subject to content.The second part explores the importance of the unity of form and content in each element design through the perspectives of the four main elements of book design,layout and font design,binding process and material application.The third part,combined with his own graduation practice,explores the application of book design form and content uniformity in book design from the perspective of specific design and production.Finally,on the basis of reflecting on the practical experience and lessons of creation,it is concluded that excellent book design works must achieve the perfect unity of form and content.
