Pre-Qin Confucian Ethics And Its Contemporary Value

In his speech at the forum on literary and artistic work,Xi Jinping pointed out: "many ideas and moral norms in Chinese excellent traditional culture,both in the past and in the present,have their value that will never fade.We should inherit and carry forward the excellent Chinese traditional culture in the light of the new conditions of the times." As an important part of Chinese excellent traditional culture,the Confucian moral cultivation thought in pre-Qin Dynasty occupies an important position in the ancient rule of virtue and plays an important role in stabilizing the social order.In the contemporary era,we should fully excavate and absorb its nutritional components and promote the innovation and development of contemporary ideological and moral education.This paper is divided into four parts: the first chapter is the introduction,which summarizes the reasons for the topic selection,research significance,research status,research methods and research innovations and shortcomings.The second chapter summarizes the Confucian moral cultivation thought of the pre-Qin Dynasty as a whole,and analyzes the politics and economy of the formation of the pre-Qin Confucian moral cultivation thought from three aspects: the connotation of the moral cultivation,the formation and the characteristics of the pre-Qin Confucian moral cultivation thought.The cultural background and the foundation of the theory of human nature sum up the characteristics of the Confucian moral cultivation thought in the pre-Qin Dynasty,that is,the hierarchy of the cultivation goal,the subjectivity of the cultivation method and the sociality of the cultivation value.The third chapter systematically expounds the Confucian morality in the pre-Qin Dynasty.The content of cultivation thought is mainly carried out from three aspects: the goal,content and method of pre-Qin Confucian moral cultivation.The goal of cultivation includes: the primary goal of a gentleman and the ideal realm of saints;the content of cultivation includes four aspects: to stress benevolence,to worship morality,to abide by the law of propriety,and to abide by good faith.The methods of cultivation include:combination of learning and thinking,careful and introspect,unity of knowledge and practice,and integration of good and good deeds.The fourth chapter is the focus and destination of this paper,mainly expounds the historical value of the pre-Qin Confucian moral cultivation thought,and discusses the theoretical value and practical value of the pre-Qin Confucian moral cultivation thought to the contemporaryideological and moral education.Among them,the theoretical value mainly includes:it provides for subjective education.It provides spiritual resources for ideal and belief education and theoretical origin for moral education.The practical value mainly includes: promoting the combination of social education and self-teaching and self-discipline,attaching importance to the unity of moral cognition and moral practice,which is conducive to the cultivation and practice of socialist core values.It is of great significance and function to study and draw lessons from the Confucian moral cultivation thought of pre-Qin Dynasty in order to improve the effectiveness of contemporary ideological and moral education.
