A Report On The English-Chinese Translation Practice Of Linguistic Paper Finding One's Path Into Another Language

This report is based on the translation of the linguistic paper Finding One’s Path Into Another Language to explore the translation strategies of linguistic English-Chinese texts.The text is highly academic and logical,with a large number of terms,rigorous language,formality,complicated syntactic structure and text structure.This report mainly analyzes the three aspects through case study,including lexical accommodation,syntactic accommodation and logical relationship translation,and then chooses the corresponding translation strategy.Among them,lexical accommodation involves the amplification and the static and dynamic transformation of vocabulary.The adjustment of sentence structure mainly focuses on the position of parethesis and the transformation of the long sentences and clause.It is hoped that this translation practice will provide a reference for the translation of this type of text in the future.
