The rapid development of era and the constant changes in the space-time environment have changed people’s consumption concepts and continuously improved their aesthetic ability.This has put forward higher requirements for shaping the logo image.As the core part of the brand image,a visual language,the logo needs to make an impression to consumers in the most intuitive manner.The geometry exactly has this kind of simple and easy-to-remember feature.As a form of graphic creativity,geometric figures convey information in their own unique design context without being constrained by regional culture or language.The application of geometric creativity in logo design is the designer’s understanding and recognition of visual symbols.It is also a comprehensive reflection of the designers’ understanding of national ideas,regional and industrial culture differences,as well as personal cultivation and aesthetic quality.This requires that it should follow the rules of beauty and take creativity as the first step to interpret specific informational functions using a simple geometric language.This dissertation studies the application of geometric figures in logo design,which takes geometric figures as the main research object and analyzes the design context of geometric figures based on their characteristics and real cases of logo design and graduation projects the author have participated in.This thesis aims to summarize the specific expression and design method of geometric figures in the logo image,explore the emotional and cultural connotation of geometric figures more deeply and express the application value of geometric figures to logo design. |
