Wang Liping's "A Dream Of Red Mansions" Episode Singing

Mr.Wang Liping is a well-known composer in China.His compositions for A Dream of Red Mansions have received unanimous praise and become the eternal classic in people's hearts.When he was composing the music of A Dream of Red Mansions,Mr.Wang Liping was working tirelessly and spared no pains.He often was deeply absorbed in working for finding the notes only belonging to A Dream of Red Mansions and forgot all about eating and sleeping,which has taken four years to complete the work at last.The lyrics of episodes in A Dream of Red Mansions are implicative with a beautiful melody.The melody of each episode is closely related to the artistic conception of the lyrics,which are perfectly in harmony.Based on the background of the novel A Dream of Red Mansions,this paper analyses and studies the singing of the two songs,“Windy and rainy autumn evening by the window” and “Song of Zilingzhou”,from the three aspects: the breath,the word biting and the music background,relying on their creating characteristics and musical structure analysis,drawing on the different singing versions of famous artists and combining with singing practice of the author.The article is divided into three parts.The first part introduces the novel and the composer of the songs in A Dream of Red Mansions.The second part analyses the singing of the song “Windy and rainy autumn evening by the window”,including the creative background of the song,the introduction of different versions of singing and the author's feeling of singing the song.The third part analyses the singing of the song “Song of Zilingzhou”,includingthe creative background of the song,the introduction of different versions of singing and the use of breath,the method of word biting and the expression of emotion in singing this work.As a professional learner of vocal music,through the analysis and exploration of singing the songs“Windy and rainy autumn evening by the window” and “Song of Zilingzhou”,the author hopes to be provide reference and guidance for the learners and amateurs of national vocal music of singing and enjoying these twosongs.Meanwhile,it will also be improved in all aspects for the author.
