Postmodernism is a theoretical system and a trend of social and cultural thought.It originated from the trend of thought of modernism,but deconstructed and subverted it.Postmodernism has the basic characteristics of pluralism,uncertainty,planarization,deconstruction center and Deconstruction of grand narrative.From the late 1950 s to the early1960 s,the western society gradually entered the post-industrial era of rapid development.The prosperity and stability of the economic foundation led to the emergence and development of advanced ideas,so the post-modernist trend of thought rose rapidly and formally appeared on the historical stage.From the late 1970 s to the mid-1980 s,with the implementation of China's reform and opening-up policy,post-modernism has entered the door of opening to the outside world,expanding the exploration of domestic scholars in the fields of literature,aesthetics and film.The wide spread of post-modernism in China has gradually made movies step down from the shrine,transforming from elegant art to consumer goods,and the audience's appeal for consumer culture and the elimination of deep thinking is also very loud,which has led to the appearance of the sixth generation of film makers in the film industry.The aesthetic tendency and the creative style of the sixth generation directors are influenced by postmodernism subtly.The cultural characteristics of postmodernism are clearly presented in their films.Lou Ye,as a member of the sixth generation directors,has outstanding style.The formation of personal artistic character is also closely related to postmodernism.He abandons grand narrative and looks at it.Focusing on the survival and destiny of individual figures,and breaking through the traditional audio-visual techniques and narrative structure to shout out the post-modern artistic declaration.This paper takes Lou Ye's film works as the research object and puts them in the context of post-modernism.It deeply and concretely analyses the post-modernist cultural characteristics contained in Lou Ye's film works from the aspects of audio-visual presentation,expressive techniques and aesthetic presentation.At the same time,it summarizes the artistic value of Lou Ye's film works with post-modern elements,and summarizes the inspiration of his works to contemporary films.Only enriched and developed the relevant film theory,but also played a positive role in promoting the exploration and practice of post-modernism in the field of film.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the thesis is divided into five parts.The nine works of Lou Ye are the main research objects,and the later modernism is the center theory for comprehensive and systematic research.The first chapter of the paper systematically combs thedevelopment history of postmodernism,summarizes the basic characteristics of postmodernism based on multiple perspectives,and clarifies the connection between postmodernism and film art,as well as the concept and development history of postmodern movies.This paper analyzes the creation of Chinese films under the influence of postmodernism,and finally introduces Lou Ye's film works and summarizes the post-modern elements in the film.In the second chapter,the audio-visual language of Yan's films is studied in a post-modern context,and the lens language,light color,sound performance,and character group images in his works are analyzed.How to break through tradition and deconstruct authority,thus presenting a strong post-modernist color.The lens language is analyzed from two parts: hand-held lens and long lens;The light color part analyzes the color tone and contrast of his film works;Voice performance includes monologue and rock music;The group of characters is divided into four categories: rebellious,confused,alternative,and disadvantaged.The third chapter analyzes the deconstructive expression of Lou Ye's works,including the fragmentation of narrative methods,the subversion of narrative structures,and the elimination of grand themes.The fourth chapter explores the aesthetic manifestation of anti-rationality in Lou Ye's film works,mainly from four aspects: physical performance of discipline and resistance;Straight writing of sex;The edge of "heterogeneous space" is described;The survival aesthetics of self-salvation.The fifth chapter analyzes the artistic value of Lou Ye's post-modern film and its inspiration to contemporary movies.The artistic value includes the humanistic concern of individual writing and the authoritative dissolution of experimental language.The enlightenment includes that art should be balanced with the market and art should be actively integrated with the international community.
