My Method Of Music Creation In Musicals

Musicals has become the one of the most popular stage performances nowadays.It contains four different performing forms,respectively vocal music,lines,physique and acting,engaging audience with various aesthetics.Meanwhile,musicals is a form of drama.Vocal music and background music play very important roles in musicals not only for their spontaneous emotions but also theatricality,foreshadowing the storyline,portraying the image of characters and reflecting their inner worlds,and posing dramatic conflicts.In recent years,China's musicals has significantly developed with consistent experiments on aspects of creative ideology and techniques,cradling more worldwide-praised musicals in near future.In this work,my composing practices and summary of my musical theory will be demonstrated.Differentiating from classical musicals with narrative composing,this work is searching for a scene-to-scene method of music creation and script structuring.Meanwhile,this work will discuss that how the temporal and insubstantial emotions can be used to trigger relevant events,which can serve as the inspiration of creation and genuine expression of contradiction and conflict within oneself.
