On The Characterization And Singing Skills Of Jin Jin In The Chinese Opera "The Wilderness"

Chinese opera Yuanye,libretto by Wanfang,is based on the Chinese literary master Cao Yu's drama of the same name.The heroine Jinzi's aria Ah! My Huzi is the most attra ctive piece of the whole opera.With a great quantity of performance on stage,deep under standings of role modeling and singing methods have been acquired.This paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter analyses the main roles of t he opera.This part includes how the singer interpret the libretto to find the "penetrating ac tion" and "the highest task" of the character and how to grasp the character tone of the rol e.The second chapter mainly discusses the role modeling in performance of this aria by t wo aspects,perspective grasping of the role and inner monologue analyzing of the lyrics.The third chapter discusses singing treatment and character modeling of Ah! My Brother Huzi from the sound dynamics and tone color.Finally,the fourth chapter discusses how to interpret the character in the actual concert performance from the aspects of inner vision and interaction with the audience.
