| The question of time is an extremely important problem in philosophy, and there are many sub-questions included in this question.Husserl inquiries one of the most fundamental question, that is the way of existence of time.Different philosophers have put forward their views on this question. These views can be roughly divided into two groups: one of them is objective time theory, and the other is subjective time theory. The theory of objective time can be represented by Aristotle, and the theory of subjective time can be represented by Augustine. From Aristotle’s view, time is a kind of number.Augustin’s theory of subjective time is mainly discusses the question of time from the perspective of conscious experience. In his view, time is the extension of the mind. This way of exploring the issue of time from the conscious experience has had a positive impact on Husserl. This paper mainly focuses on Husserl’s The Phenomenology of Inter nal Time-Consciousness and its related manuscripts as the main object of analysis, and the purpose of which is to analyze the presuppositi ons and related structures in Husserl’s time theory. In the process o f Husserl’s analysis,he posits that time exist in the consciousness, firstly. Then, most of Husserl’s ideas about the time theory result from his critique of Brentano’s time theory. From the standpoint of B rentano, there is no continuity in the act of perception, but in Huss erl’s definition of perception, perception is persistence. Moreover,Husserl divides this kind of perception into three parts, namely, orig inary impression, retention and protention. The perceptual content al so has time features produced by continuity perception. These charact eristics gradually become blurred with the flow of consciousness, and the temporality of it is also changing. Finally, through reduction o f these content and consciousness action accompanying these contents,Husserl comes to the conclusion that consciousness also has quality of continuity,in the end. |
