The coal industry,one of the basic industries in our country,has played a crucial role in the process of China's rapid economic development.But in recent years,the coal industry encounters unprecedented winter period.New energy and the its inherent defects even exacerbated the coal economy.Under such trend,the cities which used to rely heavily on the coal economy must convert its developing route.However,economic transformation of the city is bound to influence most of the coal-dependent areas.A typical example is a small village called “Black Water”,which is located in the southern suburbs of Datong,Shanxi Province.This area is declining because of the shutting down of coal mines.The environment is severely spoiled.In order to survive,young men left the village,with only a few elderly people staying at their home.Deserted infrastructures,abandoned hospitals and schools,closing shops and stores,limited water and electricity can be seen in the village.The village is facing a severe test of survival.This graduation film is in a documentary way,which is designed to record the present living situation of the villagers and the problems they are facing through field interview and follow-up.During the process of the filming,fifteen families chosen from the remaining forty households were visited,and finally seven most representative families were selected to shoot,recording their problems in life,such as the shortage of water and electricity,delinquent income,inconvenient travel and absent security.The documentary reveals the contradictions existing between the trend of city transformation and the core concept of deep reform,which leads to a more in-depth thinking.In the business analysis,the author discusses the influence of the subject consciousness of documentary on the authenticity of documentary,including the means of the intervention of subject consciousness and the degree it intervenes,the documentary film creator's literacy,the understanding of the recorded facts and film clip mode…these are indispensable essential components of a documentary.
