Oriana Fallaci,a legendary woman known as"the best female journalist in the world",enjoyed a great reputation in the field of both journalism and literature.Since she was not only a journalist but also a writer,she had the advantage of acquiring first-hand materials of social realities,and unique writing skills with delicate feelings due to her female identity.Subjectively,she pursued the spirit of freedom and democracy.Objectively,she was under the influence of the era,the society and her occupation.As a result,these factors made her work full of the distinctive "non-fiction" color.Non-fiction,it refers to reality literally.Non-fiction literature is not a simple enumeration of real social events,but an artistic expression based on reality with literary and artistic methods,so it has both literary aesthetic value and guiding significance to the reality.Authors look for nature of reality and research the truth by writing.At the same time,the literature can arouse the readers' reflection about the events.Oriana Fallaci is both a writer and a journalist,so she can get the newest information about social and historic events,and also has the professional quality of an excellent writer.Such a dual identity lays a good foundation for the non-fiction color in her work.In fact,her work has made a significant impact on the real word in terms of literature,history and social anthropology.This thesis is divided into four chapters.First of all,the Introduction describes Fallaci's life and the present research status about Fallaci home and abroad.The first chapter is the basic overall review that clarifies the development of non-fiction literature,and tries to explore the definition of non-fiction literature.The second chapter analyzes the developing process is of.the non-fiction color in Fallaci's works,with the specific research on Intervista con la storia,I sette peccati di Hollywood,Una lettera ad un bambino mai nato and La rabbia e l'orgoglio.The third chapter is mainly about the internal and external reasons about non-fiction color in Fallaci's works via detailed studies of her occupation and historical factors.The fourth chapter analyzes the influence of Fallaci's non-fiction creation on the contemporary society.At last,it comes to the conclusion of this thesis with a list of Fallaci's main works.This thesis will analyze the influence of Fallaci's works on literature,journalism,anthroposociology,etc.,by studying the color of non-fiction of her works.It aims at gaining the literary answers to complex problems of modern society through the introspection of historical events.Based on respect for reality,using literature as a means,the works of Fallaci pursue the truth and justice of the real world.At the same time,her works conquers readers with the artistic beauty.Meanwhile,the spirit of pursuing freedom and peace has important significance for contemporary European society.
