Research On Mei Dingzuo's "Gu Le Yuan"

Mei Ding Zuo,a scholar in the Ming Dynasty,should be an important figure worthy of study.Gu Le Yuan is a critique of Yuefu Poetry compiled by Mei Ding Zuo.It is also a more influential Book of Yuefu Poetry after song Guo Maoqian's Yuefu Poetry Collection.Through the investigation of Mei Ding Zuo's life and friendship,he can gain a deeper understanding of himself and his academic views.The book of Yuefu Poetry in the book,although the time ended in the north and South Dynasties,but added a lot of ancient songs,enriching the number and content of the problem solving,providing a powerful help for future generations to study Yuefu.There are direct and indirect reasons for Mei Ding's compilation of the ancient music court.The direct reason is to be entrusted by the friend Lv Yinchang,and the indirect reason is the influence of the era of the Ming Dynasty "the ancient Yue Fu".Mei Ding Zuo wants to borrow the ancient music garden to criticize and think about the whole Ming Dynasty.Gu yue yuan(Yuefu Poems Collection)contains a large number of music elements such as musical instruments,music and dance,and figures.It is an important historical material for people to understand the music of ancient Yuefu.Due to the prevalence of writing Yuefu poems in the Ming Dynasty,people doubted whether there was any music in the Yuefu poems and controversy occurred.Mei Dingzuo compiled Gu yue yuan and elaborated on his music view of Yuefu poems.It is known from the examination of the solutions and references cited in Gu yue yuan,that Mei Dingzuo believed that music in Yuefu poems can still be introduced.There are also some drawbacks in Gu yue yuan.For example,the Gu yue yuan quoted a lot of literature from Guo Maoqian's Yuefu Poetry Collection and Zuo Keming's Ancient Yuefu to explain the origin of ancient music.The ancient song words in Gu yue yuan basically refered to Yang Shen's Feng ya yi Poems Collection,and there were no indications of the reference,there was suspicion of plagiarism.Although there is a controversy in Gu yue yuan,it is undeniable that it has historical value.
