The deterioration of human society and nature in the industrial age is the main content of Laurence's novels. He incorporated his thoughts into his creation. His novels include praise for nature, yearning for harmonious coexistence between man and nature, and exposure to ecological crisis, human nature crisis and social relations crisis. The novel expands ethical concerns to all things, and has ecological and ethical properties. This paper studies the ecological ethics in his novels by combining relevant materials. The first part of the paper mainly discusses the possibility and value of the novels by using the theories of ecological ethics.Based on a brief account of the storyline, this paper focuses on the sexual relations in his novels. The article believes that long-term views about the relationship between the two sexes show a general trend of further development and the novel reveals the ecological trauma caused by modern rational civilization and modern industrial civilization. The second part and the third part of the paper discuss the first part in detail. This article uses the theory of spiritual ecology to interpret the ecological ethics thoughts in the novel from the aspects of the relationship between man and nature and the relationship between man and man.The second part of the thesis holds that his novel describes the opposition between man and nature during the period of transition from agricultural civilization to industrial civilization. The article believes that the novels are against the control of nature and opposes the negation of the intrinsic value of nature. The article believes that the novel advocates that people and nature should coexist in a unified ecological community rather than opposites. The third part holds that the ideological roots of the opponents in Laurence's novels are the three forms of anthropocentrism, modern rationality, modern industry. The article believes that the "interstellar balance" advocated by his novels conforms to the overall principle of ecological ethics. The conclusion part summarizes the ecological ethics in and once again reveals the value and significance of studying the ecological ethics of novels.
