Nowadays, with the improvement of material life and the richness of the spiritual world, people pay more and more attention to the moral issues around them, and try to explore the potential causes of the differences in moral judgment. With the rise of embodied morality, the study of morality extends from reason and emotion to the perspective of embodied, emphasizing the experience of body perception may influence the process of moral cognition. The sense of weight as a kind of touch is one of the most fundamental perceptions of the interaction between the world and the environment. In the study of embodied cognition, there is relatively little research on the connection between weight and morality. Therefore, this study discusses the sense of weight how to impact moral concept and moral judgment and their mechanism. This study aims to study relationship between the sense of weight with moral concept and moral judgment. And their influence of metaphorical mapping through 4 experiments. The setting of experiment 1 was designed to test whether weight perception affected morality concepts using a priming paradigm.,the result shows that a significant difference between the consistent condition(e.g.,lightness corresponds to moral words and heaviness corresponds to immoral words)and the inconsistent condition(e.g.,lightness corresponds to immoral words and heaviness corresponds to moral words).Experiment 2 also use a priming paradigm to prove whether the moral concept can affect the sense of weight in reverse metaphor effect, there was no significant difference between the consistent condition and the inconsistent condition. In Experiment 3,let participants experience two different weight, when people back heavy bag the participants will judge tougher for immoral events, but has no effect on judgment of moral events. In Experiment 4,from the reverse metaphors to study perspective moral judgment whether influence the sense of weight,we find when participants read immoral events they will judge a book more heavy.Meanwhile, when participants read moral events they will judge a book lighter.Experiment 1 and 2 show that the mapping between the sense of weight and moral concept is one-way,while experiment 3 and 4 show that the relationship between them are bidirectional mapping. In conclusion,This proved more clearly reveal embodied cognition. It not only a long period of a particular concept in people’s minds but also the body’s direct experience.Body perception will be more directly affect people’s cognitive judgment.
