It is common and important that we interact with another person and jointly performing a task in our daily life, and we will be more or less influenced by our co-actors during this process. Most recent research suggests that individuals have the instinct tendency to co-represent their co-actors' action generally, even when this will affect their own performance of the task. But when examined the factors of joint Simon effect,Kuhbandner,Pekrun and Maier(2010)had reported that positive mood group improved but negative mood group reduced this effect compared with neutral mood. However,it is worth to noting that the improved effect in the positive mood is not only attributes the success to the dimension of valence, because the high valence mingled with the high arousal in their study. Thus,it is uncertain that whether the high arousal is the crucial factor in the process that induced mood affects the capacity to act jointly with co-actor.At the same time, the motivational dimension is the third dimension independent of valence and arousal of affect was proposed recently, especially different with arousal dimension.Hence, the aim of present study was attempted to address these doubts that whether high arousal affect the joint Simon effect together with high valence, and the motivational dimension regulate the enhancement of joint action complete. The paradigm of joint Simon task is frequently used in this exploration and the joint Simon effect can be reflected as the level of how actor co-represent their co-actor's action. The present study used joint Simon task through three behavioral experiments explored how induced mood influenced the joint action representation.Specially, when two co-actors jointly complete a task, the actor's different dimension of emotion whether or not influence co-represent their co-actor's action,so that to reveal the influential mechanism of emotion on joint action representation. The current study includes three behavioral experiments, and all the experiments have the same procedure. The first step is neutral baseline task, which requires two participants complete a joint Simon task.In second step, they have to perform a mood induction task to induce the expected mood states in this way,and finally carry out a joint Simon task again. We will calculate that the difference of the baseline joint Simon task and the second joint Simon task and observed the change in this way. Thus,we can suppose the role of different dimension of emotion on this influential process. At the same time,we also observed the two tasks effect's significance.Experiment 1 has two parallel experiments 1a and 1b.Experiment 1a is conducted to examine whether the high arousal is the crucial factor in mood states influence on joint action representation.Between the difference of the same level of high arousal but different level of valence we observed can achieve this goal.In order to test the role of arousal precisely,Experiment 1b examined the difference between the same low arousal but different valence group similar with Experiment 1a,which means if in two low arousal groups make the joint Simon effect disappear,we can conclude that arousal is the determined factor in this influential process, but if in two groups have different results we can say the valence is also as a function in this influential process. And the third experiment,Experiment 2,we were based on the results of Experiment 1a,examining whether the high arousal is the determined factor in the enhancement of the joint action representation, and further explore the role of motivational dimension in this influence processes. We will select same high valence high arousal but different motivational intensity mood and separate the participants into two different motivation intensity groups at same level of high valence and high arousal. Then examined whether the motivational dimension plays a regulate role in high arousal improved the capability of actor co-represent their co-actor's action by analysis the difference between two groups. We first examined the mood induction procedure were induced the intended mood states successfully in three experiments, and through the behavioral results in three neutral baseline joint Simon task we found that joint Simon effect were significant in general situation, but different mood states make difference in this effect. There was a significant change in the task of after mood induced relative the before mood induced task that participants in the same high arousal but different valence groups all showed increased joint Simon effect in Experiment la.These results demonstrate that no matter in high valence or low valence, the high arousal always make the effect enhanced, this may revealed that the high arousal is the crucial factor relative to the high valence. In contrast,in Experiment lb we found that participants in the same level of low arousal but different valence groups showed two direction changes that the group of low arousal high valence did not change significantly and both task observed a significant joint Simon effect, but the low arousal low valence group reduced the joint Simon effect even the effect disappeared in the second task. These results demonstrate that at the level of low arousal, the different valence may also play a role in this influential process, which means that low valence reduced the co-representation but high valence moderate this reduction.Importantly,in Experiment 2 we found that the enhancement only observed in low motivational intensity group but not in high motivational intensity group, and two groups still have a significant joint Simon effect in after induced mood task. These results revealed high motivational dimension adjust this improvement, which further extend the results in Experiment 1a.These results deepen the impact of the emotional valence, arousal and motivational dimension on co-represent other action in the joint task, and also help us to understand the influence mechanism of emotion on the joint task explicitly.According to these results,it can be concluded that,at the first, when complete a joint action, actors are more likely tend to integrate their co-actor's actions into their own actions planning in high arousal mood state,no matter in the positive or negative valence, which means the high arousal is the key role in effects enhanced process.Secondly,at the level of low arousal, the valence plays a role in reduced the co-representation especially in high valence, which in low valence the effect reduced but in high valence keeps the level of effect.Thirdly, the high arousal is not the determined factor in the enhancement of the joint action representation and moderated by motivation intensity. And finally, different mood states affect joint action co-representation through moderates the attention focus and then influences the similarity degree of the actors perceived their co-actors perceptually, and finally affects the possibility of actor reference their co-actors action and make response-selection conflict are different, our study support the referential coding account.
