British DV8 Physical Theater also translated as DV8 Body Theater.It founded in 1986 by Loyd Newson.It had the great difference from the contemporary dance troupe even from the beginning.Whether it is the expression content,the choice theme or the expression way,the body aesthetic idea and so on all have aroused wide concern and discussion in society.This article mainly through the analysis of DV8 Physical Theater works,found that It's works on the subject of gender identity in writing has been throughout the creative process.This issue echoes the development of gender theory in the field of mass culture,expressed that gender as a relationship and an ideology as a diversion to the identity of a person.Ultimately,questioning the circumstances of gender being misread.The thesis is divided into three parts:introduction,text and conclusion,and the main body part is divided into four chapters.The introduction part elaborates the background of the thesis,introduces the general situation of the works of DV8 Physical Theater and the literature review of the research of DV8 Physical Theater works in the academic field.It also summarizes the innovation and research methods of the paper.The first chapter summarizes the general background and development,which is divided into two parts.The first part is the renovation of drama theater under the aesthetic baptism of "post-theater theater".This paper discusses the aesthetic background of DV8 Physical Theater by means of the evolution of theatrical performances and content.The second part discusses the production of DV8 Physical Theater in this theater transformation,focusing on the stage creation practice of DV8 Physical Theater and its core issues,founding its creation focuses on the macro situation gender dilemma.Starting from the gender binary opposition pattern,put forward the gender identity as the main theme of DV8 Physical Theater.The second chapter is a summary of the elements of gender identity presented in the works of DV8 Physical Theater.On the one hand,the narrative elements are interpreted from the perspectives of theme content,image creation and scene setting.On the other hand,the narrative space is analyzed from the stage space of drama,the symbolic space of reality and the gender identity space created by the body movement.Through the exploration of narrative elements and narrative space,this chapter shows how gender identity is presented in the stage practice.The third chapter discusses the construction of gender identity in DV8 works from the perspective of the archetypal criticism.The "myth" includes both the borrowing of the archetype of the classical myth and the revelation of the "myth" of the current popular culture.In this paper,a large number of "deficiency" archetypes are found in the works,namely,the deformation and use of mythological archetypes,expressing the reverse cognition of gender identity.The myth of popular culture reveals the misreading of gender in the present society,and it is found that the identity of gender identity formed by semantic superposition is an imaginary myth.The work points to the "zero"fact that the ultimate point of gender identity.The fourth chapter is from the picture of the macro-gender landscape,explore the social and cultural reasons of the gender identity of the DV8 Physical Theater.As a unique social force,art permeates this social life.On the one hand,the anxiety of identity impairs the cognition of male and female self-identity and loosens the original gender pattern.On the other hand,in the dismemberment of the theory of gender,the relationship between the gender and the subject is disintegrated,which provides the possibility for the construction of the plural gender pattern.The conclusion part summarizes the full text.The biggest innovation of the article is to analyze the stage creation of DV8 Physical Theater,which helps to study the types of drama and the development of physical drama in China.This paper points out that gender identity is a kind of path of human subjectivity in the creation of DV8 Physical Theater,meanwhile,it is a new practice of theater aesthetics.In addition,it is an active intervention in the construction of social culture,which also provides the thinking direction for China's new development of body dramas.
