Research On The Image Of Nanjing In Literature Since The 1980s

Nanjing is a unique Chinese city.It is the ancient capital of China,with rich historical and cultural deposits.The geographical location of Nanjing is the hinge to combine the north and the south of China.Besides,there are much rush of immigration happened in Nanjing’s history.Both of its unique location and its history of immigrations make Nanjing a southern city with a northern character.After the 1980 s,however,in the rapid development of Chinese cities and Chinese urban literature’s great prosperity,Nanjing’s image in the literary research in ancient and modern literature,or dispersed in a single writer research,difficult to form a system,has a recognizable image of the city;The urban image of literature in the new period is mostly concentrated in Beijing and Shanghai.Therefore,this paper aims to study in the literature after 1980 shows how to image of Nanjing,Nanjing and the period of the republic of China,and the present of what characteristics compared to other cities,and discusses the present literature in the Nanjing image performance limitations and breakthrough.In the introduction part,the author summarizes the research background of this article,namely in the 1980 s after the prosperity of urban literature and Chinese literature in the research significance of city image,and sums up the current thesis related research review,thus put forward in this paper,the research significance.In the first chapter,through extensive reading text,the author summed up after the 1980 s,concentrated in literature presents three kinds of Nanjing image,namely:in the heart of the city of the former capital of the republic of China,is unable to avoid killing and ordinary citizen’s secular city.In the second chapter,the uniqueness of Nanjing image was discovered by comparison.Time dimension,and during the period of the republic of China by Nanjing image contrast,the author found that in the present literature presents the characteristic of mixing new and old anything,and once the city’s "romantic" has been replaced by the pursuit of wellbeing.In contrast with Beijing,Shanghai,Suzhou and other cities,it highlights the tragic temperament of Nanjing and the characteristics of north-south integration.The third chapter discusses the expression of Nanjing image.Writers use nostalgic writing and secular imagine writing of Nanjing,the author studied the two methods of performance in reality and cultural factors,and points out their limitations,namely the nostalgic style and the homogeneity of the secular writing.Finally,this paper analyzes the reasons for the predicament in the image writing of most cities in Nanjing and even the contemporary China,and puts forward some breakthroughs.
