A Preliminary Study Of Surrealist Ceramic Art—A Discussion On The Creation Of "The Fable Of The Pufferfish Family"

Contemporary ceramic art has broken the way of thinking of traditional pottery creation.Instead of focusing on the practical function of ceramic art,it has shifted to pay more attention to the artistic expression and emotional expression of ceramic art.The development of contemporary pottery in China shows a trend of diversification.More and more pottery artists like to explore new forms and concepts of ceramic art,and aesthetic appeals are more diverse.For them,unique pottery has strong attraction and charm.Under such a background,the creation of ceramic art with the style of surrealism began to emerge.Surrealism emphasizes on breaking the Convention and reality,integrating life's reality with individual instincts,pre consciousness and dreamland,so as to show people's inner fantasy world.This article is from this perspective,research and application of super realism theory in contemporary ceramic art creation practice,to "fable" as the theme of the family,with the construction of exaggerated deformation and combination of collage practices for the theme image,with dreams and subconscious way to create works of fantasy space.The real life is transformed into a dreamlike world to achieve a transcendent situation,thus forming a new style of ceramic art.
