The author intends to select important newspapers,published poems and folk songs in the "May 4th" period(1915-1925)to discuss the internal development process and regularity of the demands of the enlightenment in "May 4th" children's poetry?Chapter one,the enlightenment spirit gave a unique nutrient to children's poems.This article attempts to explore how the enlightenment spirit penetrated into children's poems in the perspective of the context of culture and the internal context of literature,such as the local tradition of "school music" in late Qing dynasty,the translation of Tagore's poetry from different region,Zhou Zuoren's theoretical Exploration and practice on Children's songsChapter two,it reveals three features of the enlightenment of children's poetry:First of all,poets try to shape the image of "children of mankind" with the feelings of love our country and our children,and secondly,they change from focusing on the tradition of Chinese language education to focusing on the consciousness of children.Finally,the spread of the trend of child worship led to the advocacy of the spirit of children's poetry and play.Chapter three,there are three traits of the enlightenment form:interaction between style and text,complementation of song and opera,juxtaposition of graphic and text.Chapter four,the "May 4th" children's poem also suffered the predicament of enlightenment:adult standard inertial and deviation of children,a mix of modern enlightenment and traditional ideas,a lack of aesthetic as a result of free verses in varnacular Chinese.
