A Study Of "Senior Aesthetics" In The Wei And Jin Dynasties

Wei-Jin Dynasties is a period of great significance in Chinese aesthetic history,and the "scholar aesthetics" constitutes the core part of the aesthetics of Wei-Jin Dynasties.Most of scholars in Wei-Jin Dynasties coverged the privileges of economic,politics and culture,and with the influence of metaphysics,they have showed unique and profound aesthetic ideas.A New Account of Tales of the World,as a historical text of showing the era spirit and life philosophy of scholars in Wei-Jin Dynasties,mainly recorded nobility of anecdotes in two hundred years from the Eastern-Han Dynasty to the Eastern-Jin Dynasty,almost can be seen as a textbook of the celebrity.Although this book is not a pure aesthetic work,it embodies the unique aesthetic taste and pursuit of the scholars in Wei-Jin Dynasties.In view of this,the thesis will combine the carding and interpretation of the concepts of "Scholar" and "scholar aesthetics",and cultural background of Wei-Jin Dynasties,based on A New Account of Tales of the World,to study the scholar aesthetics of Wei-Jin Dynasties roundly,and strive to clearly show the panorama of the scholar aesthetics thought of Wei-Jin Dynasties,and then to explore the modern value of the aesthetic development,personality construction and the construction of ecological civilization in the future.In addition to the introduction and conclusion,the main content of the thesis is four part.The first part defines the concept of "scholar",and analyzes the uniqueness of scholars in Wei-Jin Dynasties from the following four aspects: politics,philosophy,values and art.The so-called "Scholar",which are the group of intellectuals in Chinese cultural tradition who attach the importance of knowledge,has social care and a sense of mission,but also has the spirit of transcendence.Scholars in Wei-Jin Dynasties showing the consciousness characteristics on the whole,which embodied in four aspects: the masquerade political view for the precondition of worldly-wise and play safe,metaphysical philosophy view based on Lao Zhuang thought,the individualistic sense of worth centered on self,and free artistic view standard by spirit.The second part drawing lessons from "scholar aesthetics" concept which was put forward by Zhang Fa of contemporary scholars,discusses the overall scholar aesthetic pursuit of Wei-Jin Dynasties,and thinks scholar aesthstics of Wei-Jin Dynasties that contains the natural profound aesthetic ideal,leisurely and elegant aesthetic taste and aesthetic value of self indulgence in three aspects of aesthetic features.The third part mainly studies the scholars aesthetics roundly from the following six aspects:natural aesthetics,personality aesthetics,body aesthetics,life aesthetics,aesthetics of literature and art and language aesthetics.In the natural aesthetic aspect,scholars actively enjoy the naturalscenery,and from which obtained metaphysics truth,metaphysics interest and philosophical thought,then obtained the deep aesthetic experience.In the aesthetics of personality,scholars respected the natural and frank personality nature.At the same time,they advocated the graceful of personality,generosity and spirit.In the aesthetic of body,they respected the beauty of appearance and the beauty of the human body.In the aesthetic of life,on the one hand,scholars paid attention to health,mixed drugs and took medicine to prolong life and ever-young;on the other hand,they tried to embrace the limited life,seize the moment,and enjoy pleasure in good time.In the aesthetics of art,those art forms,such as literature,music,painting,cursive calligraphy and landscape architecture,attach importance to spirit and nature in general.The aesthetic value of arts themselves is highlighted.In the aesthetic aspects of language,it stressed "the meaning is beyond the words",pursuit the effect of "brief words and profound meaning".The fourth part focuses on the theoretical and practical significance of the study of "scholar aesthetics" in Wei-Jin Dynasties.Scholar aesthetics of A New Account of Tales of the World had a great influence on the later literary creation and the construction of aesthetic ideas.The beautiful personality of extraordinary refined,free and easy,sincere and unrestrained in Wei-Jin Dynasties is of great inspiration and significance to the construction of contemporary ideal personality.The poetic life style pursued by the scholars in Wei-Jin Dynasties and the harmonious relationship between man and nature are also of great enlightenment to the construction of contemporary ecological civilization.
