Yu Jianwu's Shupin is a very important calligraphy document in the Liang dynasty. His book-level ranking method has a far-reaching influence on later-generation calligraphy theory and plays an important role in the Chinese theoretical system of calligraphy. However, because of the long history of this book,in the process of circulation, the transfer of this book has been delayed, which often leads to misunderstandings. It is imperative to sort out its version and conduct research on the relevant issues of this book. The basic research on the book is divided into two parts. The first part is the collation of the book, which is widely used to collect public books. We choose the best version we have seen so far to collate it and supplement it with a note. The next part collates the history of the study of Shupin, sorts of the source of its version, and discusses the connection between the literary and art theory of the Six Dynasties period.
