The thought of "Zhong" is reflected in the different civilizations of the ancient world.As an important representative of the eastern civilization,Confucius also contains the content of "middle" in his ideological system.In a way,Confucius’ s thought is carried out around the framework of "middle"."China" requires not to go to extremes,so as to achieve "both sides in power" and consider problems in all directions.Advocating "harmony but difference",respecting differences between different things and recognizing diversity.In addition,the "middle" requires the consideration of the actual situation when dealing with things,and can not take the rigid conservative road.Because of the time and time,the concrete analysis of specific problems and flexible contingency.What we need to be vigilant is that we should pay attention to the basic principles and avoid the situation of "rural areas" at the same time.Confucius’ s objection to "Xiang Yuan" refers to the principle of "mediate" on the surface,which is essentially unprincipled.The Han Dynasty was an important period in the ancient history of China.In the field of foreign communication,the pre Qin Dynasty was inherited in the system,and a relatively complete diplomatic system was formed in the process of practice.Another important feature of the Han Dynasty was that Confucianism was classified as official school,and gradually formed the status of exclusive.Diplomacy is often an extension of the internal affairs.Under such circumstances,Confucianism will inevitably have an impact on the diplomacy of the Han Dynasty.Through the study of Confucius’ s "Zhong" and the diplomatic practice of the Han Dynasty,we can see that "Zhong" plays an important role in the complicated diplomatic situation of the Han Dynasty.Confucianism,which has lasted for thousands of years,is an important part of Chinese culture and has played a great role in the formation of national character.In addition to the hard demand of national interests,a country’s diplomacy is often the embodiment of the national character,so the influence of Confucianism on China’s diplomacy can not be ignored.The innovation of the article lies in the comprehensive study of the thought of "middle" and the diplomatic practice of the Han Dynasty,the relationship between the two,and the important role of "Zhong" in diplomacy on the basis of the diplomatic practice of the Han Dynasty.
