Fan Chengda,he named himself as Shihu Jushi,known as Fan Shihu.Since the reign of emperor Xiaozong of the Southern Song Dynasty,the calligraphy of the Southern Song has entered a period of relative splendor,and there are four "southern song dynasties" represented by lu,zhu xi,fan chengda and zhang yi.Fan Chengda,and Zhang Zhizhi.But overall,the entire southern song dynasty calligraphy is going downhill.It's a convergence,and it can't leave out the influences from predecessors.However,Fan Chengda was one of the four members of resurgent dynasties in the Southern Song Dynasty.Fan Chengda was both a poet and politician.Among these four people,his career was the smoothest,and he had become an official and political scholar.In the literary world,he was famous for his "idyllic poetry," and his calligraphy was based on the calligraphy of the Tang and Song dynasties.In terms of calligraphy achievements,Fan Chengda's calligrapher inherits from Cai Yi.Zhou Bida once mentioned that his calligraphy inherits from Cai Fu “Fang Fancheng Da Chua,he would have a good calligraphy practice.The Emperor especially loved to appreciate,phase and inference of ancient and modern Chinese ink,the number was given.”Chapter 1 first outlines Fan Chengda's personal art of calligraphy,and sums up the current research on Fan Chengda's calligraphy art.Based on the previous books about Fan Chengda's books,I learned the predecessors' understanding of the style of Fan Chengda's calligraphy,and put forward personal views on his calligraphy styles and reviews,and laid the foundation for the following discussion of Fan Chengda's calligraphy style.The second chapter expounds Fan Chengda's idea of ??marching cursive art.According to his personal experience and the style of calligraphy art,his calligraphy was divided into three stages.I analyzed his artistic style and representative works at different stages,summed up Fan Chengda's copy of the ancient law,strived to innovate,studied calligraphy in the research of brushwork and spiritual temperament,and paid attention to personal understanding of calligraphy thinking.The third chapter analyzed Fan Chengda's calligraphy style,analyzing each subject from the use of pens,single-word and word-group analysis,the layout of space chapters,and the embodiment of Neo-Confucianism,etc.I took Fan Chengda's cursive script as the key research object,and organized,summarized,classified,and analyzed case studies of their world-wide work by adopting image analytical method.Chapter 4 compared and identified Fan Chengda with Lu You,Zhu Xi,and Zhang Zhizhi by comparing methods,and explored their own unique style of calligraphy art.In the end,the analysis of Fan Chengda in the context of Southern Song Dynasty made a comprehensive understanding of Fan Chengda's inheritance and development in calligraphy,and especially,Fan Chengda's inheritance and innovation of cursive scripture influenced the development of the inheritance and innovation of cursive scripture in that era under the premise that Fan Chengda was adapting to the development of the era.Although overall his calligraphy seemed that his inheritance was greater than his creation,his role for study of Lan Ting and the then literary world was still worthy of recognition.
