My Humble Opinion On Chinese Painting Line

As a pioneer of China modern art and one of the founders of Nanjing University of the Arts,Liu Haisu is active in the field of Chinese painting for more than a half century.His works integrate Chinese and western characteristics,His line combines Chinese calligraphy.By using these experience,he absorbs strength of each field,and achieves mastery through a comprehensive study and form his own style,which making a significant contribution in modern painting field.Through studying the relationship between his line and Chinese calligraphy,and the differences with the line of ancient painting,it shows a great guiding significance in creating Chinese painting,also will provide us a great spiritual values and a reference significance when we explore and research on art creation in the future.This paper is using the available materials,intent to understand his creation beliefs and his art style of calligraphy into painting and calligraphy painting integration based on Liu Haisu’s art theory.So as to research the form of his artistic expression and his line more specifically.
