On The Experimental Animation And Video Art Of William Kentridge

There’ re not so much studies on the experimental animation and video art by William Kentridge,as we can only find some reports and articles about his paintings and exhibitions here in China.My thesis puts emphasis on his experimental animation and video art,through the researches of his family background and creative concepts,as well as the unique style of his different art works,with detailed information and introduction about his ideas and methods.I also use my own art works to make a further explanation on how myself been inspired by him.As an young artist,I think it’s important to know more about the culture,history and politics in our county,that can help us to find creative ideas that related with our own life experiences,and in order to make strong art works to move the audience,we will have to explore and respect our own traditional arts.I hope this thesis will help others to get more inspirations and understandings on the art and life of Kentridge.
