Investigation Report On Rock Paintings In The West And South Of Fangcheng

Since February 27,2010,the ring cup were found in Fangcheng County of Henan Province,their archaeological dating,functional,and value in the academic circles caused wide discussion.FangCheng ring cup group is located in the Central Plains region,which is the Central Plains cave paintings inseparable parts,at the same time,Fangcheng ring cup shows different characteristics with the ring cup in other regional,namely the ring cup and the megalithic monuments existed side by side.Interpretation and research of Fangcheng rock distribution and characteristics,will greatly enrich the connotation of the rock art,which has positive significance for the multiple perspectives on Central Plains rock art.The former discussion on the FangCheng rock paintings,mostly built in simple inspection conclusion.On the author opinion,we should first research on the rock art and megalithic monuments in Fangcheng county areas,and begin scientific archaeological,get the comprehensive and accurate data,explore the similarities and differences of ROCK ART both in Fangcheng and other areas,based on the analysis of quantity,Fangcheng rock picture characteristics,archaeological dating,and function,then give credible conclusions.In December 2011,Minzu University of China Rock art Research Centre was officially launched FangCheng rock art research,which is one topics of the Central Plains rock art research.The subject is shared by the Chinese rock art research centers and FangCheng Department of Cultural Affairs.As a rock art research center graduate,the author has the opportunity to participate in research projects and make a month of research in FangCheng County in Henan Province,in March 2012,investigated and documented rock art on the area.And accumulated a large number of first-hand research data for the preparation of the report may be provided.This paper is divided into five parts:The first chapter describes the background and research methods;The second chapter introduces the natural geography,rock art research,archeology culture,to make the readers have a perceptual awareness on the environment of FangCheng rock art exiting.Chapter III,as the most central part of the investigation report,introduces the detailed investigation,measurement,and written records data of each FengCheng rock art point,and summarizes the characteristics of the scene of the rock art,sums up in chart.Some special problems are described the Chapter IV and further explores the archaeological dating and function of the rock art of FangCheng.ChapterV,is a summary of the full text.Above,the author tries to explore the archaeological dating and function of FangCheng rock art,by descripting the picture of the FangCheng rock art,restore ancient human civilization behind the rock art.
