| ObjectivesConstruct a physical activity program for colorectal cancer survivors and evaluate the feasibility of the programMethods(1)through the search and analysis of the literature related to physical activity of colorectal cancer survivors, combined with the exercise prescription and implementation framework of cancer patients, the program content was initially constructed, then the overall structure and content of the program were revised using one-to-one expert consultation, finally formed a physical activity program for colorectal cancer survivors.(2)Using a mixed research method to implement the physical activity program to colorectal cancer survivors in a third-class Grade A hospital in Beijing for a 3-month physical activity intervention and test the feasibility and acceptability of physical activity program.Through qualitative interviews to understand the burden of colorectal cancer survivors on the intervention of the program, the feedback of the program, the acceptability of the program, the feeling and experience when using the program.Through quantitative research, the recruitment and retention rate of subjects, the survivors’ compliance, the acceptability of the program were analyzed, and the program was further revised and improved to form a set of systematic and standardized and manipulative physical activity program.Results(1)The construction of the content framework of Physical Activity Program for Colorectal Cancer Survivors:The content framework of the program was constructed based on the implementation framework of the exercise prescription for cancer patients, targeted the object of the physical activity program, the content of the physical activity program, including the physical activity readiness assessment, physical activity plan, physical activity plan implementation process,post-physical activity effect evaluation and required forms and manuals in each other contents(2)Quality assessment and content analysis of relevant guidelines, systematic reviews, and randomized controlled trials for colorectal cancer survivors:After searching, screening and evaluating the literature,a total of five guidelines, four systematic reviews and thirty-eight randomized controlled trials were finally included.Using the AGREE II tool to evaluate the quality of guidelines, the results show that two guidelines are A-level guidelines and three are B-level guidelines, and the overall quality of five guidelines is good.Four systematic reviews were all published in English, and the quality of the literature is good, they all clarifed the therapeutic effect of physical activity on colorectal cancer survivors. In thirty-eight randomized controlled trials, eight are published in Chinese, thirty are published in English, and the overall quality of the literature is relatively better. The included literatures could provide rich and reliable reference content for the construction of the program.Researcher extracted the physical activity benefits, physical activity readiness assessment, physical activity type, intensity, time, frequency, relative contraindications,precautions,post-physical activity effect evaluation and other relevant content of colorectal cancer survivors in guidelines, systematic reviews and randomized controlled trials, then classified and integrated the data.(3)The construction of Physical Activity Program for Colorectal Cancer Survivors:Based on the exercise prescription implementation framework of cancer patients, systematically search and evaluate the relevant guidelines, systematic reviews and randomized controlled trials of physical activity for colorectal cancer survivors, after content analysis and evidence integration and expert consultation to construct the Physical Activity Program for Colorectal Cancer Survivors. The content of the program includes two aspects,on the one hand,it includes physical activity readiness assessment, physical activity plan(including physical activity principles and volume, physical activity type, physical activity intensity and its measurement method, physical activity time, physical activity frequency, considerations, relative contraindications of physical activity, implementation of physical activity recommendations, strategies for increasing physical activity),physical activity plan implementation process, post physical activity effect evaluation,on the other hand,it includes the realization of the above content, including Physical Activity Readiness Assessment Form for Colorectal Cancer Survivors,Physical Activity Health Education Manual for Colorectal Cancer Survivors,Physical Activity Planning Form,Physical Activity Diary,Return Record Sheet for Discharge and the evaluation tool for the effect of physical activity.(4)The feasibility of the Physical Activity Program for Colorectal Cancer Survivors:Ten of fifteen qualified persons participated in the study, and the recruitment situation was good, eight participants completed the three month program intervention and questionnaire survey, retention situation was good, the survivor ’s compliance with the physical activity plan was at a moderate level, and the program acceptance rate was 100%.The fatigue score and exercise self-efficacy score of colorectal cancer survivors before and after intervention were statistically significant. The qualitative research results suggested that the survivors had high acceptance and acceptance of the program, the program have better evaluation in terms of the practicability to the program, and the program has high feasibility and acceptability.ConclusionThe Physical Activity Program for Colorectal Cancer Survivors was constructed based on the implementation framework of exercise prescriptions for cancer patients, the clinical practice guidelines, systematic reviews and randomized controlled trials related to physical activity of colorectal cancer survivors at home and abroad and expert consultations, combined with the pilot study. The program had strong scientificity and rigor,it was simple and easy to implement and easily accepted by survivors. The program had high feasibility, acceptability and operability. It could provide reliable materials for learning physical activity and guiding physical activity for colorectal survivors and medical staff. It was of great significance to improve the physical activity level of colorectal cancer survivors and improve their quality of life. |
