| Purpose: To observe the effect of Addition and Subtraction of Wubi Shuyu decoction in the treatment of non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy(NPDR)with syndrome of deficiency of both Qi and Yin(DBQY).Material and method: This study selected 60 patients diagnosed with NPDR with syndrome of deficiency of both Qi and Yin(DBQY)from November 2018 to November 2019 in the ophthalmology clinic of the Second Hospital affiliated with Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Take the eye which meets the NPDR diagnostic criteria of each patient into the statistics.If the patient is single-eye diseased,then take the eye into the group,if the patient is double-eyes diseased,then use random number method to take one eye into the group.The included patients were randomly divided into observation group(32 cases,32 eyes)and control group(31 cases,31 eyes)by random number.The observation group was treated with Addition and Subtraction of Wubi Shuyu decoction and the control group was treated with Calcium Dobesilate Capsules.Both groups of patients were subjected to diabetes health education before the trial,and the basic sugar reduction program before and after treatment remains unchanged in principle.Two groups of patients took the drugs for 4 weeks in a row,recorded the patient’s clinical indicators before and after treatment: best-corrected visual acuity(BCVA),changes in the fundus,macular center concave retinal average thickness(CMT),changes in TCM syndromes score.The data were statistically analyzed with SPSS25.0 software to evaluate the clinical efficacy of the two drugs.Results: 1.The BCVA after treatment improved significantly compared to pre-treatment in both groups(P<0.01),and the visual improvement level was better than that of the control group(P<0.01).2.The fundus score after treatment improved significantly compared to pre-treatment score in both groups(P<0.01)and the fundus performance of the observation group improved better than that of the control group(P<0.01).3.Both groups of CMT after treatment improved significantly compared to pre-treatment CMT(P<0.01),and the CMT reduction level was better than that of the control group(P 0.01)in the observation group.4.Both groups of TCM syndromes score were significantly improved compared with pre-treatment,and the improvement of TCM syndromes was better than that of the control group(P<0.01)in the observation group.5.During the trial period,there was one adverse event in each group,and the adverse event incidence rate was low in both groups.Conclusion: 1.The therapeutic efficacy of Chinese medicine Addition and Subtraction of Wubi Shuyu decoction and Calcium Dobesilate Capsules are accurate for NPDR with syndrome of DBQY,and both have beneficial in improving vision,effectively reduce the fundus score,reduce the thickness of the retina,ease the condition of TCM syndromes are accurate.2.Compared with the Calcium Dobesilate Capsules,Chinese medicine Addition and Subtraction of Wubi Shuyu decoction has obviously advantageous in improving vision,effectively reducing the fundus score,reducing retinal thickness and alleviating the conditions of TCM syndromes in the treatment of NPDR with syndrome of DBQY. |
