Objective:To explore whether TCM syndrome differentiation and other factors are independent risk factors affecting the prognosis of pancreatic cancer.Material and method:From January 2015 to December 2018,patients with pancreatic cancer who were hospitalized in the Department of Oncology, affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of traditional Chinese Medicine were selected. The last admission data of each patient were entered into the excel form, and the patients were included and excluded according to the inclusion exclusion criteria. The general data, including sex, age, surgery, symptoms and signs, and the location of the disease, were reviewed and analyzed.Among them, the symptoms and signs were classified according to the unified syndrome differentiation standard, the survival curve was drawn by Kaplan-Meier method, and the survival rate was tested by log-rank.For the sex of the patient,Age,surgical condition,TCM syndrome type and other prognostic factors were analyzed by univariate analysis. The significant factors were brought into the COX risk regression model for multivariate analysis to confirm the independent risk factors affecting the prognosis of pancreatic cancer, and to summarize the use of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).All the data were processed by SPSS20.0 statistical software, and the results showed that there was significant difference between the two groups(P < 0.05).Results:1.The median survival time of 65 patients with pancreatic cancer was 9 months.2.The multi-factor analysis of the prognosis of the death of the pancreatic cancer showed that the clinical stage, the operation, the radiotherapy and chemotherapy and the syndrome differentiation of the traditional Chinese medicine were the independent risk factors that affected the survival of the patients with pancreatic cancer.3.The TCM syndromes of 65 patients with pancreatic cancer were divided into 4 types, which were classified as qi stagnation and dampness resistance, liver stagnation and spleen deficiency, spleen deficiency and dampness heat type and spleen and kidney yang deficiency type.4.Among the four TCM syndrome differentiation types of 65 patients with pancreatic cancer, the median survival time was qi stagnation and dampness obstruction syndrome, liver stagnation and spleen deficiency syndrome, spleen deficiency dampness heat syndrome and spleen kidney yang deficiency syndrome, respectively. The survival time of patients with qi stagnation and dampness resistance, liver stagnation and spleen deficiency dampness-heat type was significantly longer than that of spleen and kidney yang deficiency type(P < 0.05),the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion:1.Clinical stage, operation, chemoradiotherapy and syndrome differentiation of TCM are independent risk factors that affect the survival of patients with pancreatic cancer.2.Syndrome type is the external embodiment of pathological changes in human body. When evil qi begins, the patient is in relatively good condition. As the disease progresses, the empirical evidence becomes a mixture of deficiency and reality.Until the disease goes deep into the viscera, mainly due to deficiency, the prognosis is the worst.3.The therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese medicine in patients with pancreatic cancer is mainly reflected in supporting positive qi,regulating qi,soft consolidation and so on.The use of traditional Chinese medicine can improve the clinical symptoms and quality of life of patients.
