Objective: The aim of this study was to explore the relationship in TCM syndromes between non-metastatic colorectal cancer and metastatic colorectal cancer.Materials and Methods: The patients with colorectal cancer hospitalized in the Oncology Department of the Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2018 to December 2018 were selected for a retrospective study, including 43 cases of non-metastatic colorectal cancer and 69 cases of metastatic colorectal cancer. The numbers and frequency of symptoms and signs of 112 patients were analyzed by Microsoft Excel software. The data processed by Microsoft Excel were performed with K-means cluster analysis by using SPSS21.0 software.Results:1 In accordance with the inclusion and exclusion criteria,112 cases were selected. In 43 cases of colorectal cancer without metastasis, there were 24 males and 19 females;and in 69 cases of colorectal cancer with metastasis, there were 35 males and 34 females.2 43 patients with non-metastatic colorectal cancer had the following main symptoms and signs in frequency : tongue red, abdominal distension, poor appetite, dry mouth, pulse string, insomnia, diarrhea, constipation, yellowish and greasy tongue coating, hematochezia, nausea and vomiting, short urine red, irritability, dark reddish tongue, abdominal mass, abdominal pain and so on;69 patients with metastatic colorectal cancer had main symptoms and signs in frequency: fatigue, pale tongue, chills, poor appetite, diarrhea, insomnia, fine pulse, short of breath and lassitude, abdominal pain, thin white tongue coating, edema of lower limbs, clear abundant urine, abdominal mass, abdominal swelling, emaciation, constipation and so on.3 43 cases of non-metastatic colorectal cancer were clustered into 16 cases(37.21%)of spleen deficiency and Qi stagnation,15 cases(34.88%)of retention of damp-heat,10 cases(23.26%)of deficiency of spleen-qi,2 cases(4.65%)of stagnation of blood stasis and toxin;69 cases of metastatic colorectal cancer were clustered into 29 cases(42.03%)of yang deficiency of spleen-kidney,21 cases(30.43%)of spleen deficiency and Qi stagnation,13 cases(18.84%)of deficiency of Qi and blood, and 6 cases(8.70%)of junction of water-heat.Conclusion:1 The main TCM syndromes of non-metastatic colorectal cancer patients are spleen deficiency and Qi stagnation, retention of damp-heat,deficiency of spleen qi and stagnation of blood stasis and toxin;TCM syndromes of metastatic colorectal cancer patients are Yang deficiency of spleen-kidney,spleen deficiency and Qi stagnation,qi-blood deficiency and junction of water-heat;and provide a reference for TCM syndromes standard of metastatic colorectal cancer.2 The TCM syndromes of non-metastatic colorectal cancer and metastatic colorectal cancer are mainly spleen-qi deficiency syndrome;spleen deficiency syndrome is the main deficiency syndrome of non-metastatic colorectal cancer, and damp-heat syndrome is the main excess syndrome, and spleen deficiency syndrome is the main deficiency syndrome of metastatic colorectal cancer, and qi stagnation syndrome is the main excess syndrome. It can be seen that whether colorectal cancer metastases or not, spleen deficiency syndrome plays a dominant role in the pathogenesis of colorectal cancer.3 The majority of TCM syndromes of non-metastatic colorectal cancer and metastatic colorectal cancer are the mixture of deficiency and excess. The main syndromes of non-metastatic colorectal cancer are excess syndromes, while the main syndromes of metastatic colorectal cancer are deficiency syndromes.
