Purpose:Observe the clinical characteristics of the age stratification of the patient population and the distribution characteristics of TCM syndrome types, collect and sort out the relevant risk factors, refer to the diagnostic criteria of TCM syndromes, and retrospectively analyze the data to study the new diagnosis type 2 with different ages. The relevant risk factors of diabetes patients and the distribution characteristics of TCM syndromes provide scientific evidence for the prevention and treatment of patients with type 2 diabetes at different ages.Material and method:This study is a retrospective study.A total of 1296 patients with type 2 diabetes who had complete clinical records from the Department of Endocrinology,Affiliated Hospital of Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from November 2017 to June 2018,and 316 patients with newly diagnosed T2 DM were selected. There were 72 newly diagnosed patients in the young group,135 in the middle-aged group, and 109 in the elderly group. The gender, age,BMI index, hypertension, triglyceride, total cholesterol, diabetes genetic history, smoking history, drinking history and marital status were collected.Logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the risk factors of newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes.316 patients who were diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for the first time were screened according to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria. The medical records that met the TCM syndrome differentiation were based on the World Health Organization age classification criteria and combined with the age structure of the Chinese population.According to the age,the patients were divided into young group(? 40 years old),middle-aged group(41-65 years old)and old age group(>65 years old).According to the random number table,45 patients were randomly selected from the three groups. In the study,one-way analysis of variance was used to compare the differences between the three groups of patients in physical and chemical indicators and TCM syndrome types. Results: 1.Newly diagnosed T2 DM in different populations: The incidence of newly diagnosed T2DM was higher in the middle-aged group, and the difference between the groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The higher the BMI index, the higher the incidence and the difference between the groups.Statistically significant(P<0.05);the incidence of different diabetes genetic history, drinking, smoking, hypertension, triglycerides and total cholesterol, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);and different genders, marital status There was no significant difference in the incidence rate between the groups(P>0.05).2.Logistic regression analysis of the incidence of T2DM: stratified by age, with newly diagnosed type 2 diabetes as a dependent variable, variables with statistically significant differences among single factors were used as independent variables for multivariate Logistic regression analysis, including BMI index, genetic history of diabetes, drinking, smoking, hypertension, triglycerides, and total cholesterol, etc.Among them, under the influence of other variables of adjustment and control, overweight and obesity, hypertension and total cholesterol are independent risk factors for T2 DM in young patients.Diabetes genetic history, smoking, alcohol consumption, hypertension, triglycerides and total cholesterol are middle-aged.Independent risk factors for T2 DM occurred.Overweight and obesity, genetic history of diabetes, hypertension, triglycerides and total cholesterol were independent risk factors for T2 DM in the elderly.3.The results showed that only the difference of 2h C peptide level was statistically significant(P<0.05)when comparing the random blood glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin,c-peptide and 2h C peptide among the three groups(P<0.05).4.The proportion of Lung and stomach's hotness syndrome in the youth group was significantly higher than that in the middle and elderly groups, and the difference between groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The proportion of Yin deficiency and excessive heat syndrome in the middle-aged group was significantly higher than that in the young group. The difference between the groups was statistically significant(P<0.05),but there was no significant difference with the elderly groups(P>0.05).The proportion of Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome in the elderly group was significantly higher than that in the middle and middle age groups. The difference between the groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the proportion of spleen deficiency and stomach stagnation syndrome between the three groups(P>0.05).Conclusion: 1.The occurrence of T2 DM was associated with age, genetic history of diabetes, alcohol consumption, smoking, hypertension,TG and TC,and was not associated with gender and marital status.2.BMI,hypertension and TC are independent risk factors for T2 DM in young patients.3.Diabetes genetic history, smoking, drinking, hypertension,TG and TC are independent risk factors for T2 DM in middle-aged group.4.BMI,diabetes genetic history, hypertension,TG and TC are independent risk factors for T2 DM in the elderly.5.The prevalence of Lung and stomach's hotness syndrome is higher in the young group. The prevalence of yin Yin deficiency and excessive heat syndrome in middle-aged and old-age groups is higher. The prevalence of Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome is higher in the elderly group. The spleen deficiency and stomach stagnation syndrome between the three groups is roughly the same.
