Purpose:To observe the clinical efficacy of needle-acupuncture on patients with ischemic stroke constipation in order to seek effective treatments.Material and method:Sixty patients with ischemic stroke hospitalized in Department of Encephalopathy and Rehabilitation,Liaoning TCM University Affiliated Hospital Rehabilitation Center conforming to the inclusion criteria with 60 cases of constipation after ischemic stroke were collected from June 2017 to December 2017.The patients were divided into experimental group and control group selected by computer software randomly. The number of patients in each group was 30 cases. The experimental group was treated by eye needle embedding method, which were embedded with needle one time a day, each time for ten hours, lasting five days for a course for two courses with a two-day lapse between two courses. The control group was polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder group. The polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder(Shu Taiqing)with AB agent in each package was given to the patients with 125 ml warm water two times per day.The two groups were observed for 14 days. The two groups were scored by TCM Symptom Score,PAC-SYM and PAC-QOL before and after treatment and one month after the end of the treatment, respectively. The incidence of adverse reactions was recorded in both groups, using SPSS24.0 software to deal with statistical methods such as chi-square test, rank sum test and t test.and the treatment effect was compared between the two groups.Results:1.There was a significant difference(P <0.05)in the TCM symptom score,PAC-SYM and PAC-QOL before and after treatment between eye needle embedding method group and polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder group.2.There was a statistically significant difference(P <0.05)in eye needle embedding method group to improve TCM symptom scores and PAC-QOL,which is better than polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder group.3.There is no significant difference(p>0.05)in improving PAC-SYM between eye needle embedding method group and polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder group.4.There was a significant difference(P <0.05)in PAC-SYM and PAC-QOL scores between the eye needle embedding method group and the polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder group in one month after the end of treatment.5.Eye needle embedding method group had no adverse reactions, when adverse reaction rate of polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder group was 13.3%,which involve abdominal pain and diarrhoea.Conclusion:1.Eye needle embedding therapy and polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder are both effective on post-ischemic stroke constipation.2.The long-term efficiency of Eye needle embedding therapy is better than polyethylene glycol electrolyte powder.3.Eye needle embedding therapy in the treatment had no adverse reactions, and the safety and efficacy of treatment can be guaranteed. |
