Purpose: To sort out the literature of randomized controlled trials of simple oral Chinese and western medicine as interventions and control measures to evaluate the efficacy and safety of oral administration of simple Chinese medicine and oral administration of pure western medicine in the treatment of ulcerative colitis, and provide the clinical treatment for ulcerative colitis Train of thought and basis, and to provide evidence-based evidence for Chinese medicine treatment of ulcerative colitis.Materials and Methods: The Chinese biomedical literature database,China Knowledge Network,VIP database and Wanfang Digital Periodical Network were searched and the relevant documents were collected. The time was set from January 1,2007 to December 31,2017,with "ulcer Colitis "," diarrhea " and " dysentery " as keyword search and OR connection, and secondary search using keywords such as " traditional Chinese medicine " and " traditional Chinese medicine " as key words to connect with OR.The retrieved documents into the literature management software combined with manual inspection, excluding duplication of literature and obviously not related to this study of the literature to obtain the full text of the relevant research report.By reading the full article, select the final inclusion document based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. The basic information of the literature was compiled, and the quality of the literature was evaluated according to the improved Jadad scale. The statistical software used Rev-Man version 5.3 software provided by the Cochrane Collaboration for meta-analysis and risk assessment. Results: 1.Efficacy 1.1 The total efficiencyA total of 25 articles reported an overall response rate of 1825 patients. The results showed that the overall response rate(OR = 4.01,95% CI,3.05,5.27),P <0.00001 for the overall efficacy of the treatment group and the control group was Oral treatment of simple Chinese medicine UC effect in a certain range is better than pure oral medicine treatment group. As can be seen from the funnel chart(Figure 2),this conclusion is more stable.1.2 Chinese medicine symptom scoreFive articles included in the literature described the total score of TCM symptoms and were evaluated according to the integral method using syndrome scores. The results of meta-analysis were OR =-3.07,95% CI(-4.19,-1.96),P <0.0001,6 According to the Meta analysis,OR =-0.70,95% CI(-1.07,-0.32),P = 0.0003,5 articles recorded diarrhea score, the result of Meta analysis was OR =-2.27,95% CI(-3.48,-0.86),P = 0.001,5 articles were recorded pus and blood stool score, line Meta analysis OR =-2.48,95% CI(-3.90,-1.07),P = 0.0005,5 articles The results of Meta-analysis were OR =-3.71,95% CI(-6.12,-1.30)P = 0.003,both of which showed that oral administration of simple Chinese medicine was superior to Western medicine in improving the symptoms of traditional Chinese medicine.1.3 recurrence rateRecurrence rates were reported in 4 studies included in the literature, and meta-analysis of 4 articles showed that OR = 0.12,95% CI(0.05,0.27),P <0.00001,indicating that the recurrence rate of oral administration of simple Chinese medicine UC was lower than Western medicine Oral UC treatment, and from the funnel chart point of view, the conclusion of the existence of risk bias is small, the result is more stable.1.4 colonoscopy Baron scoreThree articles included in the literature reflect the results of colonoscopy with Baron score.Meta-analysis of three articles showed that OR =-1.17,95% CI(-1.70,-0.64),P <0.0001,indicating that oral administration of simple Chinese medicine improved UC Intestinal mucosal congestion, edema, ulcers, erosion and other conditions better than Western medicine.1.5 Tumor necrosis factor-?(TNF-?)Six articles included in the literature were used to detect the level of TNF-? in peripheral blood.Meta-analysis of six articles showed OR =-25.07,95% CI(-35.58,-14.55),P <0.0001,Serum TNF-? is better than western medicine.1.6 Interleukin-8(IL-8)Four articles in the literature were used to detect IL-8 in peripheral blood.Meta-analysis showed that OR =-47.45,95% CI(-66.92,-27.99),P <0.0001,indicating that oral administration of simple Chinese herbs reduced serum IL-8 is better than Western medicine.2.Security A total of 89 studies were included in the literature,89 were adverse reactions,9 were experimental group,80 were control group, the incidence of adverse reactions as an indicator for meta-analysis,the results showed that OR = 0.14,95% CI(0.03,0.59),P = 0.002,indicating that oral administration of simple Chinese medicine UC adverse reactions lower than the incidence of Western medicine, but the funnel chart point of view, this conclusion there is a risk bias. Conclusion: 1.Pure Chinese medicine oral treatment of UC may be superior to oral medicine alone UC(mostly mild to moderate),and the recurrence rate is lower.2.Oral Chinese can better relieve the abdominal pain, diarrhea, pus and bloody stools, tenesmus and severe symptoms of UC patients, and can improve intestinal mucosal lesions, reduce Baron score, regulate body immunity and reduce the level of TNF-?,IL-8 in peripheral blood.3.Chinese medicine oral treatment of UC than Western medicine oral safety, fewer adverse reactions.
