Purpose:To explore the mechanism of anti-proliferative acne scar formation by different concentrations of pomegranate peel polyphenol ointment through TGF-?/Smad signaling pathway.Method:Thirty-six male SD rats were randomly divided into model group,ne gative control group,pomegranate peel ointment low dose group,middle dose group,high dose group and ultra high dose group.only.The model group was given saline wet compress,the negative control group was coated with 1 ml matrix,and the experimental group was given 0.9%,1.6%,2.4%,10% pomegr anate in the low,medium,high and ultra high dose groups according to the gr oup.Pepiphenol ointment 2 times.The wounds were observed from the day of modeling,and the wound skin of each group was taken for histopathological examination and immunohistochemical detection of TGF-?1 and Smad4 on the7 th,14th and 21 st day after modeling.Result:1.It was confirmed that the TGF-?/Smad signaling pathway was significantly a ssociated with hypertrophic acne scar formation.2.Compared with the model group and the negative control group,the pomegr anate peel polyphenol ointment group can effectively prevent the formation of acne scars.3.Compared with the different dose groups,the dose group of pomegranate pe el polyphenol ointment decreased the expression of TGF-?1 and Smad4 signific antly(P<0.05),which could effectively inhibit scar formation.Conclusion:1.Pomegranate peel polyphenol ointment can inhibit the formation of acne sca rs by regulating TGF-?/Smad signaling pathway.2.The dosage of the pomegranate peel polyphenol ointment has the most signi ficant effect on the formation of hypertrophic acne scars.
