The Neocerambyx oenochrous(Fairmaire,1889)is a new type of stem borer that injures the Guiyang garden plant Prunus yedoensis Matsum, which is distributed in most provinces and regions in China and abroad in Vietnam and Laos.Due to its large size, beautiful appearance and the pressure of catching, the Taiwanese Council of Agriculture classified it as a conservation species, artificially planting cherry blossoms to provide its habitat, expand its population and protect it.China's provinces and regions captured the species during the inspection of nature reserves, but there was no occurrence of such species. Therefore, there was little research on this species, and the breeding characteristics and sound characteristics of this species were not reported in China. In this study, the adults were caught in the field for mating and spawning. After the eggs were hatched, the larvae were reared for indoor breeding to study their reproductive characteristics. The adults' crawling, foraging, and stress signals were collected using the AED-2010 sound detector and the R09 HR portable recorder. The larvae crawled and fed the sound signal, the larvae daily moving sound signal, and the larvae analyzed the different seasonal sound signals. The main findings are as follows:1.In the early May of each year, the fecundity of the Neocerambyx oenochrous was about 81-123,the average egg length was 3.30 mm,and the average width was1.81 mm.The incubation period was 17 days and the average hatching rate was88.3%.The average length of newly hatched larvae was 4.47 mm,and the average body width was 0.99 mm.Adults completed a complete copulation behavior divided into four stages: antennae penetration,four-legged embracing, curved abdominal insertion, and post-protection.2.The larvae's body length, chest width, head length, and head width were measured. The SPSS 18.0 software was used for statistical analysis of frequency distribution. It was found that each organ measured value appeared in 5 relatively concentrated areas, according to Dyar's rule can be initially judged that the larvae ofNeocerambyx oenochrous can be divided into 5 instars. The Brooks index and Crosby index were calculated based on the average age index of larvae. The results showed that the Crosby index of body length, chest width, head length and head width were all less than 10%,and whether the larvae of Neocerambyx oenochrous divided into 5ages is reasonable.3.Adult worm crawling, foraging and stress sound signals were collected using a R09 HR portable audio recorder.One-age,two-ages,and three-ages instar larvae of the first-,second-,and third-instar larvae were collected using the AED-2010 sound detector and the R09 HR portable sound recorder, respectively,to receive sound signals through Goldwave. After noise reduction, the sound signal was analyzed by MATLAB software in the time domain, frequency domain and time frequency.Run the program to get the larvae sound feature map;extract the pulse duration and frequency, make a pulse duration schedule and frequency table;use Excel to make larval daily activity sound feature map and different seasonal activity sound feature map.
