With the rapid development of human economy and society,the demand for energy in human society is increasing.In order to make full and effective use of hydro-turbine resources,people are not only satisfied with the study of hydro-energy with low head and large discharge,but also turn to the study of hydro-energy utilization with high head and small discharge.In this paper,based on these conditions,through the in-depth study of the relationship between the efficiency and flow of bucket turbine and the existing test results of a real machine,a reasonable approximate mathematical analytic formula for the flow and efficiency of bucket turbine is created.On this basis,the characteristic curve of bucket turbine is simulated based on the environment of MATLAB.By using the similarity law of bucket turbine,the synthetic characteristic curve of bucket turbine is transformed into the model comprehensive characteristic curve,which is compared with the model comprehensive characteristic curve obtained from model experiment,and the relevant conclusions are obtained.In order to reflect the universal applicability of the analytical formula,the parameters of three actual power stations are selected to simulate the characteristic curves of bucket turbines with two,four and six nozzles respectively.
