As a supplement to large-scale hydropower stations,small hydropower stations have the advantages of making full use of water resources and approaching the power supply load.In China's water-rich areas,it is a development method with more power generation.However,due to the small scale of small hydropower,the cost of power generation limits its ability to install advanced relay protection equipment and software,and the seasonality of water flow,resulting in the randomness of its output seriously affecting the safe and stable operation of the grid.In order to ensure the stability of the small hydropower grid-connected power grid,it is necessary to ensure that the small hydropower anomaly or fault is dealt with in a timely manner,and the first line of defense for handling abnormalities and faults is the relay protection device,so the backward relay protection device is upgraded and modified.Accurate and effective evaluation of the reliability of the equipment after upgrading is one of the important means to ensure the safety and stability of the grid-connected power grid.Combining with the existing theoretical analysis and research results,this paper discusses the importance of safe and stable operation of small hydropower for its reliable grid connection,and analyzes the status quo of small hydropower relay protection and the necessity of upgrading and upgrading.Taking Daliangzi Hydropower Station as the research object,The process of upgrading and reforming the relay protection has been analyzed in detail,and operational recommendations with certain reference value for future operation and maintenance have been formed.Finally,the operation and maintenance of the Daliangzi Hydropower Station is divided into: general requirements and regulations;unit operation mode;unit operation status monitoring,relay protection device inspection and maintenance,and ensuring the reliability of the relay protection device from various aspects.The reliability evaluation method has been applied in the reliability evaluation of power system relay protection devices.It is an effective evaluation of the reliability of the relay protection device for small hydropower,and the fault tree method and Markov are introduced into the upgraded beam.Reliability assessment of relay protection for hydropower stations.From the analysis of general reliability theory to reliability modeling methods,as well as commonly used evaluation methods.For the reliability of the communication method before and after the transformation,the reliability is evaluated by the fault tree method.In addition,the Markov model is used to quantitatively analyze the reliability of the operation of the upgraded relay protection device.The results show that the relay protection of the Daliangzi Hydropower Station has been improved from the reliability of communication methods and the reliability of the equipment.
