Under the background of informationization and graph reading,"graph" has become an efficient way to transmit information,and the graphic research conforms to the law of development.Industrial design is the cross product of multidisciplinary,technical and aesthetic concepts.It includes all design processes in which modern means are used for production and service.In this process,through the expression of design drawings,designers make design concepts materialized and explicit,and convey design information by means of design drawings.The design information is correctly interpreted by the design audience,thus promoting the transformation of design into real productivity.The purpose of this paper is to explore the rules,principles and theoretical framework in the expression of design drawings for industrial design majors.In this paper,firstly,theories related to design drawing for industrial design majors are interpreted,and the development course of graphic research is sorted out.Secondly,from the perspective of design methods,the design icons in the application scope of design discipline are classified,corresponding systems are sorted out,and according to the design principles,design methods,design content and other aspects,the typical expression methods and special expression methods in their respective systems are searched out,and therefore,the ways to adapt the design drawings to different contents and purposes are summarized.Finally,on the basis of studying the design expression for the design drawings of industrial design majors,through the study of visual communication theory and visual semantic theory,and through the comprehensive and systematic intersection of these theories with the industrial design field,three application-oriented research levels are put forward,namely,the meaning research at the theoretical level(industrial design graphics research),the theoretical research at expression level(visual expression process research)and the expressionparadigm of industrial design drawings,laying a theoretical basis for the in-depth study of the theory of industrial design graphics.
